I hate AIM... there was a thread a day or two ago I was going to post on, but figured I'd just make a new one...
I thought it would be cool to get mobile IM forwarding to my cell phone. Turns out it isn't as cool as I thought. Some of my "friends" seem to think its funny to constantly IM my SN whenever the service comes up, so if it turns on, I usually get about 20+ text messages on my phone from these idiots.
Is there a way to control when the Mobile IM comes on? it seems to only go on when I'm either Offline (I go offline FOR A REASON! I don't want any more IM's when I'm OFFLINE!), or idle for awhile...
Second is the major problem. I got tired of the service so I did a Preferences-IM/Chat-Mobile IM and stopped all the service. Even when I check it now, it asks if I want to sign up, and doesnt bring me to "my account" saying what mobile IM services I have...
The Mobile IM icon still comes up on my screen name. I'm still getting IM's on my phone... What the hell is up?
Also on my AIM list, it created a whole new buddy group (mobile device) with random people from my other groups in it... I tried deleting that, but it just created the list... again, by itself.
I think AIM is trying to take over my computer. SCREW YOU AOL!
