At first I had my doubts, but I'm starting to think of the possibilities it could have. Maybe not in it's current form, but the technology could be used for some really cool things.

      Think "Extreme Segway".

        Jeb,
As for comparting it to the PC.... I would not go that far. The price issue is not the issue at hand. All new products tend to cost more than they do several years down the road.

I could list things all day, but I am sure you get the idea. I will stand by my initial posts. As a man who deals with Marketing every day, it takes more than HYPE and a bunch of people saying something is good to impress me, or make me believe they are right. No matter WHAT was unveiled this morning, the PRESS would have said it was great....
You've missed the point of the Segway. It's really not aimed at obsoleting anything...it's intended to bridge the requirements that don't quite call for cars but are tough to accomplish just on foot.

HAHAHAHA. That's ome of the most funny posts I have ever read..."Extreme Segway" lol. I definaltey don't think that's ever gonna make it anywhere...

First of all, there would be old ladies flyin around banging into everything...that would cause a conflict.

              "Segway Olympics", for the lazy.

They will try to convince everyone that walking starts some kind of diasease that can lead long term leg hurtness...

              Lol it ain't going anywhere.

What does it run off? Batteries or something?? Or do you just push yourself.

I have my own 'it' that I'm making. It will blow this it out of the water, and it involves bacon.

I think the way it runs is what makes it so special.

I saw the schmuck that invented this on leno this weekend... he came out after Russel Crowe and managed to get both jay and russel crowe on this god awful contraption. The funny thing is that the Wakko that invented this followed russel crowe around holding his arm like a scared girlfriend. Until Russel pushed him away and yelled at him for groping his arm... real funny "stuff"

i think that this is a good invention. i do not think it has much of a purpose in the U.S. How about major cities in China? Most of the people ride bikes because of the enormous traffic in the city. this would really be helpful.

if i had the money, i would get one. i just like how it balances itself while on 2 wheels...

                            nah...

I doubt it will last, mainly due to financial reasons. Plus it looks weird. If I ever saw anyone on one of those things, I'd probably laugh out loud.

They swarm with their party, they feel with their party, they are happy in their party's approval; and where the party leads they will follow, whether for right and honor, or through blood and dirt and a mush of mutilated morals."
