Just a question.
A friend of mine runs a small webhosting site. He has pretty good deals, and the server he has seems to have great support/etc from his hosting place. He hosts my site for a great deal, and I'm thinking about picking it up as a side thing.
I'm really looking into this. My question is this.
What are fair prices for website hosting? I'm talking about prices per:
- total size
- bandwidth
What would you be willing to pay? I'm really just trying to see if enough people would be interested to make it a venture, and what they're willing to pay.
Keep this in mind. I would NOT be charging a setup fee. So while there are some sites out there w/ low prices, but a moderate setup fee you end up balancing out w/ that fee. So please be honest.
I'd probably be offering a "just under a gig of space" package, a "gig of space" package and a "2 gig holy crap you must host video" type package. I'm thinking like 10, 15 and 30gb of traffic accordingly.
In any case... hope I didn't confuse you.
