GHTP -- Do I need to be in a party?

I logged on last night, and a message came up saying, to the effect, that no servers are available through Quick or Optimatch

Do I need to be in an existing party to be able to join games?

I'm going to try and be online tonight around 6 PST... If anyone is on GHTP and you see my gt (same as sn here) shoot me an invite.
