I've heard a few one time on a dirt road stories about them(from family no less). I've always felt that we as humans could not possibly be so conceited to believe that life does not exist somewhere else in our universe.

Sorry, I had to. The spelling was bothering me.Originally posted by Dark SideI've heard a few one time on a dirt road stories about them(from family no less). I've always felt that we as humans could not possibly be so conceited to believe that life does not exist somewhere else in our universe.
But, anyway, so this is likea servey to see if UFO's exist? Is it other places, too, that you have this posted?Comment

Okay, Beatrice. There was no alien, and the
flash of light you saw in the sky wasn't a
UFO. Swamp gas from a weather balloon was
trapped in a thermal pocket and refracted
the light from Venus

I voted "I want to believe". That would be so cool if there was life from other planets visiting us, but I know it's not possible.
Could you please elaborate on how you know its not possible?
yup. thats one of the ones I have been looking at. I bet you voted triangular.Originally posted by neppo1345We had a MAJOR sighting about 5 minutes from my house in Liberty Ohio in 1994.
Quite a few witnesses, mostly police and air traffic controllers.Last edited by MoeMag; 03-27-2007, 07:38 PM.Comment

Common sense I guess. Lets say there are aliens here. They certainly aren't trying to make themselves known, or you'd think they'd land or give us an obvious sign they're here. So that would mean they're trying to stay hidden. Now, don't you think it they were smart enough to travel light years to get here, that they'd at least be able to stay hidden from air planes and people in their backyards looking at the sky?Originally posted by MoeMagCould you please elaborate on how you know its not possible?
It just doesn't make sense.
I'll also admit that everyone I know personally that has seen these unexplainable UFO's and talks about aliens is a complete nut job.Comment

How can there not be other life out there? The only logical and scientific conclusion that can be drawn is that there most likely is. The shear amount of systems with planets/planetoids is staggering and to think that not a single one would not end up with life on it is just illogical.
I can go on about this sort of thing for a long time, as I have been interested in it and have done a lot of research ever since I had an experience that made it all very real for me (yes...I've seen "things").
I'll post more later...right now its wing night

A 15 billion year old universe, with our planet who just happens to be 5 billion years old= a whole lot of time for some way to far advanced species of what ever to say "yep a piss ant planet. Ok lets go".
It's like going up to an ant hill. Looking at it for a few minutes and then kicking the crap out of it, or not if that's your mood. All the ants will ever think is "what was that" or "WTF". We are so much higher on the food chain (which in reality is the same for potential light speed jumping aliens), to have the need to hide. So what if the ants see me. So I'll just get some gasoline and a few M80s.
Make sense enough for you?Comment
