        how ironic...

I live in madison, usually, but am back at my parent's house for part of the summer until I secure some employment back in madison. What's even better is that I'm thinking about making a small roadtrip to AGD to pick up a couple xvalves (when they come in, that is) with a friend, rather than getting them shipped. hey, its only a 1.5 hour drive, thats almost shipping! too bad tom won't be around, but hey, thats ok. have a nice trip and enjoy madison. If you are around park street, famous dave's is an excellent barbeque joint.

[edit]: darn. i really wish i could camp out in janesville and track down the 'burban on the way by. have a safe trip man.

                One last bit of threadjacking...

Fargo was not a documentary, nor was it "Based on a true story."

Still a good movie, but not real at all.

...i didn't try today ...I would be spending the amount of money for a warp in gas trying to find you.... ...and i might not even see you ...

...i was planning on a road block with spikes...so i could just do an arial search for your ride...then i planned on jumping out and either
                  1) parachuet out
                  2) slide down the rope on your truck...

                  ...but
                  1) i forgot to pack my parachuet before i went out for finals...(Lane Tech is dragging them out for 3 days )
                  2) i don't think you want a dented roof...

It is now official - Paintball Magazine has confirmed: Airgun Designs is dying

Yet another crippling bombshell hit the beleaguered AO community
when recently IDC confirmed that Automags account for less than a fraction of
1 percent of all markers. Coming on the heels of the latest Paintball Magazine
survey which plainly states that Airgun Designs has lost more market share,
this news serves to reinforce what we've known all along. Airgun Designs is
collapsing in complete disarray, as fittingly exemplified by failing dead last
in the recent PBNation marker performance comparison.

You don't need to be a Kreskin to predict Airgun
Design's future. The hand writing is on the wall: Airgun Designs faces a bleak future.
In fact there won't be any future at all for Airgun Designs because Airgun Designs is dying.
Things are looking very bad for Airgun Designs. As many of us are already aware,
Airgun Designs continues to lose market share. Red ink flows like a river of blood. The Automag
is the most endangered of them all, having lost 93% of its core following.

Let's keep to the facts and look at the numbers.

Indian Creek Designs owner and operator Jerry Dobbins states that there are 7000 users
of Bushmasters. How many users of Autocockers are there? Let's see. The number of Autococker
versus Bushmaster posts on Usenet is roughly in ratio of 5 to 1. Therefore there
are about 7000*5 = 35000 Autococker users. Automag posts on Usenet are
about one/fiftieth of the volume of Autococker posts. Therefore there are about 700
users of Automags. A recent PB2X article put Intimidators at about
80 percent of the Paintball market with overall marker sales. With the rise of the Intimidator and
the decline of sales by industry behemoth Brass Eagle it certainly indicates bad omens for Automag users.

In addition, due to the devaluation of the American Dollar vs. the British "pound", the lack of Xmag bodies, abysmal sales, and so on, Airgun Designs went out of business and was taken over by K2 who sell other
familiar markers under different brand names. And, now AKA is also dead thanks to Smart Parts,
its corpse turned over to yet another charnel house.

All major surveys show that the Automag has steadily declined in market
share. Airgun Designs is very sick and its long term survival prospects are very dim.
If the Automag is to survive at all it will be among nostalgic paintball gear collectors.
Airgun Designs continues to decay. Nothing short of a miracle could save it at this
point in time. For all practical purposes, the Automag is dead.

                          Fact: The Automag is dead.
