What you guys fail to comprehend is how the industry has changed dramatically in the last few years. Most companies NO LONGER HAVE A CHOICE about what they develop. You have been used to the candy store of new developments and then you watched while lawsuits took over the industry. Some of you said something but most did NOT.

You continue to expect that things will be the same but in reality the old days of paintball are gone forever. The general paintball public hasn't put it all together yet. They dont understand that AKA is done making guns forever. That Odessey who brought you the best loader ever is now hovering at bankruptcy. WGP just gave up the whole upper end marrket in favor of a spider clone. Glen Palmer is going to retire to another country. Tippmann is now controlled by the functional equivalent of a superpower and the best Bob Long can do is come out with a new look every month.

Money, lawsuits and patents control what happens in the industry now. You all have pitifully little to do with who makes what products. I have the HAIR tigger completely designed, developed and ready to go. Legal issues and advise from my laywer is telling me not to do anything with it until the legal smog clears. Several people could own rights to that product. Since your not willing to pay 500 bucks per grip frame in multiple licensing fees everyone has to work it out ahead of time.

So go ahead and complain all you want, I am putting up bullet proof shields and waiting for the smoke to clear. We are currently working on something, reducing prices, thats something everyone likes.

Don't worry, Palmers will still be around even if Glenn does decide to take a well deserved break.

and the Oddyssy thing has been known but since they are not a HUGE company, not much stink has been made of it.

DAG!!! Not a good thing to hear at the beginiing of my day. TK just laid the smack down. Now for heavans sake everyone take your meds and chill.

Odessey near bankruptcy? No wonder I haven't received my order yet. More depressing industry news. Yet Smart Parts is building a brand spanking new facility. THere is no justice.

I now realize how I was wrong. It's not worth explaining, because you all did it for me.

Also, since they are now primarily in the scenario market, they dont need to come out with all these things. Scenario players dont need the hair frame, they like scopes and other such devices( not to say a scenario player wouldnt enjoy the hair)

This got much bigger than I ever thought, and I see how I was wrong.
Hey, look at that! It's Santa!

In some respects, Glenn has slowed down, on a personal basis, for a little while now. I agree with Muzik on this, PPS will still be around.

Thanks Tom - I can see how easy it is for people to lose perspective - in fact, I'm seeing more RT Pro's out in the fields that I used to see Classic Mags in the day. I'm very happy to support AGD as much as possible, encourage others to buy their markers & upgrade my current marker when practical.

This is what putts AGD into the league with other great manufactures like Ford, Toyota and Trek, just to name a few. They have constantly made quality products and give the owner the customer support that is needed. I don't think that we could ask for a better company to do business with. I know there are some products that I will or will not buy just because of who manufactures it.

Oh and Tom, one thing that I have always been told and I have found out it is true, "You get what you pay for". I know that I'm not the only one who likes to get their moneys worth but I like even better to get a good product. So keep on making excellent products and they will sell themselves.

Hell of a post... Scary, but very dead on.

The problem is, paintball has found its target market of 12 year old speed freaks, so i think that the whole "release a gun every 2 weeks" is a natural progression. If people will buy it, i cant really blame someone for selling it.

The scary thing is SP's new patent that came up this past June that i havent seen discussed anywhere but the guild.

Paintball has been quickly ending for me for the past year or so, its no suprise really that things are that bad.

AGD is correct. We don't have much control over what is happening in the industry. We could all just stand here and worry about who is sueing who, who is making something new, ect... Or we can all take the gear we have that works just fine and go play some pball.

Myself personally, I'll go play. Let's let the lawyers argue it out. If you need me I'll be on the field. When the entire paintball world it threatening to disappear, then I'll worry. Right now we have over 9 million people playing this sport, so I don't see it fading out anytime soon.

So long story short, let's worry about more important things. GAME ON!!!
