Great post, and think that it is great that it matters more to you and your store to make sure that these markers go to good owners than it is to make a quick couple of grand...
GOOD JOB.
We won't make much of anything (profit that is) when we sell them. We have lots of $$ worth of time, effort, shipping and wholesale costs into the X-Mags. If we were trying to make a living by running a field/store, we would have closed up years ago. Our real jobs give us (myself, and the other Tim) the freedom to wait for the right situation for certain things. We also stocked up on Sydarms a few years ago, just to have them... Then AGD went back into production... Bad for us...From Skeeter_D

Guys,
Paintball Charleston are my heros when it comes to running a smart paintball store. I am not just saying that because they sell our stuff. The point is they sell EVERYBODYS stuff! You go in there and you dont get the "that gun is crap" routine that we hear so often from so many other retailers. They get excited about pumps the same as superguns.
So what happens? All the players there have three different guns, I have seen this for myself. They start the day with the electo blaster, work through the afternoon with the mech and when they run low on paint switch to a pump. Every gun is cool to that group and everyone knows what a Phantom pump is and why its hot.
Bravo PBC you are the model paintball store! I wish the rest of the industry would figure out what good business is.

I called to the shop and was ready to buy one right away.
Unfortunately they dont accept paypal or AmEx card and the only option I was offered is money order which I didnt feel comfortable to do.
I also was kinda turned off when I offered to pay almost $1600 for marker right away and was refused free shipping option. DO they really gonna be at loss if insted of 1600 they gonna get 1570 after shipping?
Oh well....
But markers are great!! I finally got one used and I love it.

Cool find on the used one. We just are not really set up for internet or mail order sales. We like to work face to face when we sell stuff, so we don't have a reason to do pay-pal transactions... Amex is just way too expensive to use on the vendor side.
We don't play with our prices... If we send the item out of state, we don't charge South Carolina sales tax, but we don't do free shipping either. We can even do personal checks if you want to work a transaction that way. We are a very straight up store (even Tom just gave us props). If you sent us $$ and didn't get a marker (which wouldn't happen), you could justifiably (sp?) crucify us on line. We are big AGD supporters and our transactions are as straight up as possible. We could even ask AGD (Joan or Marsha) to act as brokers in the transaction. That would be a little more expensive (added shipping), but it would take away any fears of getting shafted on both sides of the transaction.
Either way, I am just as happy to keep the X-Mags in town, I just don't know how many other potential "lucky ones" are in the area. I would like to find local owners if possible, but I have also had them on the wall for quite a while and should probably start looking to sell them outside of the area. I just need to know that they will find a good home...

I never questioned your store credebility. Sorry if I sounded this way.
Its just I am sorta guy who is ready to pay more and right away if he see that seller is extra polite and smily and offers free cup of coffe in the store. You know what I mean?
I just expected more attention, flexebility and free perks like free shipping when I buy marker for $1600. I mean how heavy can it be? I bet you insured overnight shipping would be around $50. And I didnt even asked for overnight. That is why its always pleasure to buy from Marsha here at AGD. She is always happy to help you to get what YOU need. And top it with some free stuff.
I understand you are not in the rush to sell it so may be that is why you dont really care if I buy it or not.
I hope I cleared it now.

No problem... It did sound like our credibility was a bit in question and I get a little sensitive on the subject, since we go to great lengths to be a "well above average" store. We are willing to work with you an about anything & we could have probably taken care of shipping, esp if we would have Marsha in the middle (bad visual) of the transaction. The price is about right, if you take the 3 barrels, custom anno and both modules. We put a lot of $$ and effort into getting them done right. I just wish even more people here in Charleston appreciated the hardware. We have 3 at the field already, which is pretty good for a single field. Either way, no problem and no offense taken. Geoff was pleased to talk with you earlier in the week as well.
Take care & happy hunting.From Skeeter_D
