NO powdercoating, it is Black Oxide finish.
Thanks
Todd
do you have any larger examples of the ss blackening. ill take the plunge if need be, for a discounted price?
Its a proven technique I don't see the need to give a discount. I think the largest we have done is a pump arm for a AC.
A SS body would be no problem though.
We are up and running again on the web
do you have the equipment to strip spraypaint off of a minimag body? i plan on sending my emag to u for anno and ill prolly send the ss body also.
oh ok sounds good, i meant if i would have been the first with a large item.
do you have any pics of the item you guys did in this finish. im more interested in the finish ,ie is it a gloss, dust or flat? im very interested in doing this to my mag(body, valve and all hardware)

As for pics of more SS blackening, not really, not too many have asked to do much more than screws or bolt pins.
Hey Gruntbull, I'm gonna ship my cyborg on Tuesday. I had the tech at my local shop make sure the milled body worked perfectly and sealed and everything, and I forgot they weren't open on Sunday, so I can't pick it up till after class on Monday.
How much would you charge to get some promaster parts annoed polished red?
Parts:
Eye covers
Trigger
Barrel back
Bolt pin
Gruntbull...on my cyborg neither I or the proshop have a schrader valve removal tool to take out the piece in the lpr...is there any way that you could take it out prior to ano and put it back in afterwards without charging me the full disassembly price as it's just one tiny piece?
Your local tire shop can take it out (Schrader valve is the valve in your tire stem)
But yes we can take it out, and not charge you full price.
We dont put things back in unless full price is paid due to liability issues in the past.
Thanks
Todd

Im wondering if it would be possible to annodize braided SS hose?
Anodizing, in PB-related instances, only takes into aluminum.
he can blacked the line though fireball says so above
We could blacken it, but anodizing is really limited mainly to Al 13, Ti 22, and Mg 12. With Aluminum being the main one that we do, we have anodized some Ti, but that isn't the same as the decorative anodizing we can do with aluminum.Originally Posted by Speedballer666
Stainless Steel is not possible to anodize, it the wrong type of metal.
i want to re-anno all my mag parts to clean them up... how much will that cost to anno a few peices (ill get pics) matte black?(rough estimate)
Going to send my Xmag. Will you pull the electronics or should I?
Guys, www.gruntbull.com/form.php for a quote.
I suggest you always disassemble your marker yourself.
i dont see matte black in the quote thing or dust black either....
do you have a place where i can see all of the colors?
think of matte/dust black as just a single color.Originally Posted by TaCticulMerderer18

Dust / Matte Finish is the same thing/ Finish and color are different. Black and Dust are the options you want to pick on our quote page.
Todd, how is your turnaround these days?
Still want a shot at an Xmag?
Xmag has 2 different alloys... stay away from clear, green, and some reds, and it should do pretty good. I must say we have done 7xxx before just never an X. Send me an email sales@gruntbull.com
Turnaround isnt too hot, we have a LOT of work on the table, although the other week we almost turned the time down, but then we got in a few jobs that are rough and jacked up our timing again. I need to learn that most customers are either a) hiding parts b) hiding something metal related or c) both (not talking about yours at all here, just we got a rash of "extra credit" jobs.)
