    Emag charger voltgae drop

Ive come across a few bad chargers over the last 2 years. I have 3 chargers that drop voltage.

One drops from 16v ish to about 11v and the other 2 drop from 11v to 0v when on a volt meeter.

Am I correct in assuming this is being caused by a bad Voltage regulator?

Voltage regulator?? not sure about that but, mine when bad on me last year it was the 1ohm leaded shunt resistor used to measure the current going into the battery. if memory serves they use a 1/4W resistor where a 1/2W should have been used, this causes it to open over time.
when you open it you'll see a large leaded resistor, measure that it should be around 1ohm if it's higher then that replace it with a 1/2W 1ohm resistor.
