    air leak out the back

    i got air leaking out the back of my RT valve, out of the velocity adjustment hole. that means i need to replace my "Regulator Piston Assy." .........right?

    i just replaced every o-ring with new ones........

    Does it have the LvL 10 installed? That will cause you to need a new piston. What is your velocity? If you're shooting hot you need to reduce your velocity until it stops leaking.

    ya it's got a lvl10, don't know the velocity i just put it back together.

    does the leak go away when u turn down the velocity?

    The problem is the same as mine then. The LvL 10 requires more pressure, the old reg piston in your valve is designed only for a LvL 7 bolt, this causes the pressure release safety thing to vent because there is more pressure going in than it's designed for. Or something close to that, a few of my details might be a tad off but I think it's the general idea.... Your reg piston is too old school for the LvL 10.

    So, buy a new RT/X reg piston that is designed for the LvL 10 and your problem will go away.

    checked the velocity it's at about 280fps, but it's was jumping around.
    this is an older valve and it had a lvl7 in it when i got it, i guess everyone agrees i need a new piston reg assembly.
