    Armada Bodies

I'm getting ready to do a large run of slug bodies, the first run of bodies will be Armadas. I want one for my personal collection, anyone else interested in one?

What other bodies are you planning?

Overall that design is a bit blocky/chunky for my tastes. But I'm looking forward to seeing other future body designs from you!

No clue today, I'm not looking past the Armada at this point.

Yea, people said the same thing about the Deflator but it was actually shorter than a Micromag. I think the Armada only looks that way because it has a matching rail, both bodies are actually pretty small and no bigger than a ULE body sitting on a RTP rail.

Also, my new Hybrid Armada rais are shorter than the RTP in the picture above.

I'm down for one. Might have to pick up an armada rail to match it.

Will they be unibodies? Or body and rail?

These will be standard bodies and rails with Angel threaded detents and feedneck. Really the only thing I'm changing from the AGD design is the spring washer and retainer. I'm going with my stainless steel spring cup and it will be held in place with a spring clip. The Deflator bodies were a PINA in that regard, I think this will solve the problem.

So my old Armada rail won’t line up right with the new body?

    That is incorrect.

All the 9" RTP Armada rails will work whether they are the original RTP Armada or the new Hybrid Armada, the only difference is the thickness of the rails, not the design.

My old RTP slug rail design used for the first Armada rails matched the AGD RTP in height. The blue rail below is the new Hybrid slug rail.

I was ask in a PM about an 8" version of the Armada, I'll answer it here for everyone.

Unfortunately the body design does not translate well for an 8" version because the barrel threads wont allow the front profile of the body to be shortened.

What about leaving the rail square on the front?

Rails are designed and manufactured in both 8 and 9 inch versions. As it stands the design and programing for the bodies are done, which is why I'm willing to do these in the first place. Even though the changes seem minor, I dont think it would viable with the numbers were talking about, this is already a no profit deal as it is with all the setup time for manufacturing...

If what you are making is shown in the photos (body and rail combo) and depending on price and time frame to ship, I'd be interested.

These designs look pretty cool. Would you consider making any changes to this new run of them that you are doing?

I'm not opposed to listening, but understand that the rails are already done and in the hands of customers so big changes probably wont work.

I am just not caring for the fish tail at all.

I don't care for that to be done to rails either.

Can the top over the valve be eliminated ?
