    Classic RT with x-valve problem

Hey guys, after over 10 year in the closet I finally got my mag out to go play some paintball but I never managed to get it working. Hoping I could get some help here.

Back in the days I had sent it over to AGD to get the xvalve/ule body/lvl10 retrofitted at the factory and I have not changed any of the settings on it since.

When I put air in nothing happens (no pressure on trigger) so after I tore it all apart oiled and checked the o rings. Then I read athomas lvl 10 tuning guide on here and it mentioned the carrier should not be too tight and it was so I went to a size that was snug but not loose. The result was air out of the barrel until I pulled the trigger then it would shoot twice and again I would not have any pressure on trigger and would not shoot.

Now I’m going to order some parts from agd as I see they still sell o ring kits on there, would I be correct in assuming I need the x-valve kit only, would I also need the RT kit for any parts? I definitely need a bolt bumper as I damaged it while trying to troubleshoot.

I added some pictures for reference, any help would be greatly appreciated!

Original set up as it came from factory
    Lvl 10 set up
    Smallest carrier
    No shims
    Longest spring

    Thanks!

Your biggest issue is going to be that is a classic rt rail and is not intended to be used with anything other than classic rt valves/frames.

I’d swap the rail out and that may start solving some problems.

Yeah I realize it is an unconventional set up that's why I had to send it over to AGD so they could do the retrofit, it was a service they were offering at the time. Now I wish I had kept some documentation about the retrofit, I'm not familiar with the modification they needed to do or parts that may be different.

Now I do have a minimag at home I could use to troubleshoot, my ULE body/x valve should work on that right?

Update, I noticed the brass shim for the field screw was missing from the marker so that was part of my initial problem. Now that that is in the marker fires normally but still have a small leak for the ULT on/off valve I believe. The reason I think it is the on/off is because I tried the on/off from a minimag and the leak stopped but the trigger was too reactive (run-away).

The ULT has 5 shims in it, I tried it with 3 and 4 shims and replace the bottom white o-ring but that did not solve the leak.

Also correction on my lvl 10 carrier size I have a #0 and for some reason that is the smallest one in my kit.

Here is a video of my problem, as you can see the leak stop when the trigger is pulled.

Again any help would be very appreciated!
    Thanks

You have to get rid of the long spring. These guns are too finicky using that spring. Use a red or gold spring and your carrier wont need to be so tight. There are 2 more smaller carriers now. I have them if you need them.
