Where are Automags Made?

I was recently listening to an interview with Tom Kaye and Bud Orr where they were discussing their manufacturing process, among other things, and Tom mentioned that early on AGD made the decision to sub contract all the parts manufacturing while Worr Games made everything in house. That got me wondering where Automag parts are made. I’m assuming early on they were made in the U.S.A., but where are they made now? I remember reading somewhere that the X-Mag bodies where made in the U.K., but I’m assuming all the other components where made in the States. Dose anyone know where the major components are made? If foreign made where and when did AGD start getting parts made abroad?

That I'm aware of, everything is still made stateside. Most(if not all) of the 3rd party parts makers are also stateside. Someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

not only made in the USA, but made by the same company since the ule and xvalve were made, if i am not mistaken.

That is awesome to hear that Automags are now and have always been made in these US! Are there any other paintball gun manufacturers that can make that claim?! Doubt it. Makes me feel that much better about my Automag collection.

I think in PUPP's interview (don't quote me, could be a different show) with Sandman, Tim Montressor, and Jake Berenyi, Sandman says they're machined at a local shop in Illinois. Probably assembled in house.

I totally agree with you, it always boggled my mind how it never caught on with more people than it did. I think it's one of the most comfortable grip frames ever.
