    Securing a power tube?

I have a Retro Valve with a power tube that will unscrew (I found it when I went to take the tip off).

What is the best way to lock it back down?

Put loctite on the first few threads below the oring. Do NOT get loctite on the oring. You can also put loctite on the inside threads too but keep it way down in there. Tighten it down as tight as you can wit a strap wrench. Let it dry overnight before firing it.

Red is permanent, blue is not.

That's simply not true, red loctite will melt at 550° F
That said I would use blue.

I use blue for everything. It seems to set up faster too.
