    SFL breach!!!

okay so long story short i have the lake sfl and am trying to get an "sfl" breach. i know its a longshot but i've reached out to bunny to no avail as well a few others who may have had an sfl breach stashed. anyway, here is the pic of when assembly started. she has an xvalve in her right now, and a few other goodies.

If that was my gun, I would be grateful to have the breech you have now...as there are no more ever. I do have some warp breeches that maybe you could redrill or something. I know Tim would love to have the breech you have now.

no lack of appreciation of what i have. i just know there are 5 or so out there for those that need em, and i can't see the lake sfl restoration as not deserving. https://www.automags.org/forums/show...read-V-3/page5

Yea that logo could be recreated easy enough and just machined into your breach..
Jake, is it machined on both sides?

It is on both sides. Pretty sure these are just milled and dual detented euro breaches.

I may have to take some measurements and draw it up in a fusion. I have a few things kicking around in my head i would change right of the bat.

Whats the plan for the 'feedneck ring', threaded, pressed in, or incorporated/machined into the breech?

That was one of the things im back and forth on. Thinking about incorporating it into the breach. Definitely not threaded.
Looking at some cam stuff now to see how that will shake out though.

Personally I would incorporate it, but you would have to redesign the sight rail

That was one of the things i was scratching my head one. I was trying to figure out how to make that flow into the feedneck portion, but keep the feature.

The only way would be a threaded neck ring design, although you would need a much taller neck than this one.

Have you figured out thread milling on the cnc yet?

I have, figured out the thread milling. I was able to get that sorted in the Karni eblade fix I did.

It’s to easy to not print and check for fit before messing around with milling.

The difference between a xmag and sfl breeches as I understand them are

    1) Logo
    2) the second detent on a sfl breech was drilled in the wrong place.

correct, the sfl breaches also have some additional milling on the valve side.

I am not really that concerned about getting the file. I am a shocktech dealer and have already talked to the guy that does most of the graphic stuff for ST. I just haven't reached out for approval on the logo from Danny yet. I suspect they would be fine with it though. Hoping to have something in hand before having that conversation.

I was not implying anything, you're reading into my question. I can recreate the logo its pretty basic but my time isn't free, that's all, no more no less..
