Hello everyone,
After 20 years of longing and dreaming, I’ve finally managed to get my hands on an AGD X-Mag. It’s especially hard to find one here in Germany. Back in 2000/2001, when it was first released, it wasn’t allowed here because the battery pack made it look too much like a real firearm. Years later, it was finally approved, and only a handful of X-Mags have made their way to Germany since then.
Now, I’ve fulfilled my dream and purchased one! Visually, it’s stunning. However, as you can see in the video, it’s not functioning properly.
The video shows the X-Mag operating with an input pressure of 800 PSI. I’m experiencing consistent drop-offs and occasional ball breaks, which shouldn’t happen with the Level 10 bolt. On top of that, the electronics don’t work at all, even with a new battery. One potential issue might be the On/Off assembly: it’s using a standard urethane O-ring instead of the quad O-ring it’s supposed to have.
I’ve tried various main springs, including the long red one and the standard gold spring. I’ve also experimented with input pressures ranging from 800 to 1200 PSI, but the results are always the same as in the video. The trigger often fails to reset, and overall, the X-Mag just doesn’t run smoothly.
Do you have any advice or suggestions on how I can get my dream X-Mag to perform like a dream?
As a quick note, the On/Off pin measures .712 inches, which should be the correct length.
Thanks in advance for your help!
