how often should i replace the white teflons?

i suppose your talking about teflon tape on your hoses. just replace them if you notice them braking up or if you see loose threading.

a good alternative to teflon tape is locktite. get the purple loc-tite and use that on the screws

I think he's refering to the teflon O-rings in the valve.

when ever u start to notice a leak or anything replace the problem teflon o-ring.
