Question ?'s on making my gun more accurate

okay i am not a paint user by any means, I went in with less than 200 rounds and killed three people and one guy with close to 500 rounds ran out of ammo, in the whole game I only used bout 60 rounds.(the 500 rounder unloaded half of his rounds on his own teamate...lol)
I own an automag and want to get back in paintball. I have an all american smartspart's barrel on it right now. I am curious if anyone knows the most accurate barrel for the mag is. I have a Automag powerfeed 68. The bolt and everything in the gun is stock. If there is is any parts that could help accaurce plz let me know. I don't care bout rate of fire at all. Just want 1 of the 3 paint burst i shoot to hit something more accurately. Also does anyone know anything bout sites?

If you shoot medium bore paint, get a medium bore barrel. If you shoot small bore paint, get a small bore barrel. If you shoot large bore paint...well, you get the idea.

The barrel you have on your Automag right now is probably .689 (medium bore).

    Cool

Only because I'm the nicest guy you will ever meet, I'll explain to you why I'm moving this thread to Technical Forum.

As you had to pick a forum to post to here, you likely saw all the others to choose from. Since your thread is all about finding parts to accurize your gun, it rightly belongs in "Technical Forum". See how it works?

Ni CD has the right idea, most of the time I shoot medium bore paint, so I like Lapco's Bigshot (speedball) and DYE's Boomstick (woodsball), sp's all americans are accurate from what I know, I would just find the best paint for the barrel, and stick with it...

If you are seriouse about tournament play or speedball, you just cant beat a 12in boomstick. If you are a woods player, i recomend the bigshot (i would say the J&J ceramic, but u never know what bore your getting). But if you switch back and forth from each, I recomend the freak. It will shoot ANY paint you put in it great. You could but BE balls in the freak and they would shoot like marbs in a boomstick.

I would recommend the opposite, Boomstick for the woods(quieter with more porting) and big shot for speedball, sound doesnt matter in speedball.
I found that Team Colors works awesome with my Dye stainless steel barrel

    Get it?

The standard bore on the All American is either .688, or .689...both are medium.

    Hi hostage,

Didn't we have this discussion last night on IRC? Bartman and I were helping you with some Mag barrel suggestions and other tips.

Get a BOA or LAPCO. Nitro. A Retro Valve. You should be set.

    Later,
    Alan

I wouldnt recomend the Retro valve if you want accuracy, for me it hasnt givin me any, just a Higher ROF with velocity problems, and the key to Accuracy is CONSITANCY dunno if I spelled that right lol, anyway just my 2 cents

Personally, I would suggest a zero-gravity barrel from ACI. I purchased one about 2 months ago for tourney play (i have a 10-incher). It shoots better than any barrel I have put on the marker. I have put boomsticks and progressives..pretty much everything EXCEPT the freak..haven't tried that yet. The zero-gravity seems to work best for me. it's short, compact, and it rocks.
