or they could have cut some new holes in a hopper right body and turned it. there are no pictures of the other side after all. the slot for the sear and holes for the screws could just be out in the open.

There must have been a time
when we could have said no.

the slot for the sear and holes for the screws could just be out in the open."

I strongly doubt that, how is the front frame screw driven in all the way then?

Bah. Vert feed not as good as PF. Ball breaks are not as localized... gets in your hopper, doesn't clean as easy, you can't cut off ball feed like the PF plug can...

Called them up and asked them how they did it. They were very helpful and willing to share the info. They charge about 50 to 60 bucks for the conversion. They do not move the feed tube at all. They rotate the whole body and re-slot and re- hole the portion at the base of the body that will come into contact with the body rail. It was also mentioned that you might see a bit of the old hole/ slots sticking out the side from the body rail. Not sure if it's worth it, since one could realistically find a better body without modifications for less trouble. But if it's something anyone would like to do... Ballistic's phone number is 219-234-9990. Not sure I'd go thru the procedure for the price.

Hey guys. BS here. I would not recommend this mod. It looks better than it works. It works fine though. It's just that there is a problem with the barrel detent being in the wrong place for a vert feed setup. We plan to make a vert feed Mag body some time, but probably not for a while. As for the holes being visible.... they are a little. If you really look at the one side you can see them just peeking out from the body rail. Unless you knew they were there you would not see them. A very simple procedure produced very simple results. I still use my powerfeed mostly..........

I saw a centerfeed body by itself for sale at my local shop
I think they wanted less than $200 and it was nice and shiney!

I might try this mod being that I'm getting a classic body for $20..but Will the adapter like the angel uses for it's center feed to let a laoder fit on it work for the mag?

I suppose a vert feed sleeve from an Angel would work. We make a sleeve to go with the mod anyway. This mod is nothing special. I just got bored one day and someone had mentioned that it would be neat to convert one to vertical. Hence the product.

    Go to monsterpaintball.com

they will hook you up with a vert mini body and a properly machine JJ barrel. I just got mine in and I love it. It will take them a while to send to you though mine took month to get.

That would be awesome. I wonder if it would affect the performance though.

the one thing tho...how do you retap the screw hole (where it sticks out) so it will hold? did you jsut do it in the frame or did you epoxy a nut or something?

  19. #19

    Post

We removed the standard little "nut" that is welded to the body tube and made another, then tig welded it back inplace. You need to remove the standard nut because the body won't fit on the body rail without reomving it.
