Laser etching battery pack and rail?

Is it possible to laser etch the body rail and battery pack? I was thinking of getting my EMag (minus body) anodized and was wondering should I do the laser etching before or after the anodizing ...

If anyone has any input on this, or pics, that would be great. Also would etching or engraving be a better choice.

    Thanks,

One option is get your new ano done then send the parts/marker to Burnt Images in Colorado. I have my UltraSonic Cockers laser engraved with serial numbers and our logo. They have been outstanding... great customer service and amazingly fast turnaround.

Anything you can send to them (either on paper or electronic) they can put on your marker. The image is burned into the anodizing. Super clean and sharp. Even grayscale shading is possible. Apparently Chris LaSoya has his personal Angels done there.

Yea... Its simple. Burn has examples of way more complex "steel tattoos" on their site.

            They say...
"Steel Tattoos" are similar to personalized engravings. Our style of imaging ("engraving" if you choose) uses a patented precision thermal transfer process to create highly detailed permanent images on just about any surface with the exception of wood and glass.

We also have them engrave Zippo key chains which match each of our cockers' engraving for the new owners. Comes out great.
