AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
because its even rarer when you convert a sydarm into a pump... no really, it is!
Very nice Burphel!
I'd swap the 3.5oz for a 13cu hpa tank though... sydarms like to freeze after 5 fast shots of CO2... i learned that the hard way last year at Shatner...
Originally posted by zacbot why might i ask are you making a rare piece of agd history, into a pump?..
Well, considering it took *no modification* to do it, why not? When I get the rest of the pieces for the pumpmag's final setup, it'll go back to being a plain-ol' rare Sydarm .
Or you could've played up in Taranta with that Burph, only keep the pump handle on. You could've used it semi-like. Those unsuspecting people would've never known what hit 'em! Mwahaha.
Hey, I was wondernig, whats the difference between a sydarm and an automag
2 things. The body and the valve
Obviously, you've got a body with the solder'd on spring feed and 12g adapter.
The valve, instead of having a side port for a 3/8" hose, has a set of o-rings and small holes that seal inside the body and pass up to the 12g adapter. This allows for a smaller volume for the 12g to fill when pierced and ups the shot count a tad.
On mine, I've subbed the 12g adapter for a CA adapter. It's kinda a double reversal, but I don't have a regular body that'll take a pump at the moment, and changing 12g's on the Sydarm is a PITA compared to my other pumps, so there it is.
