CP Lightning drop forward w/CP on/off CP shorty regulator which is basically being utilized as a fore grip.
Stainless steel Freak Barrel kit with 14" blue front.
I've been playing with this set up for a couple of months now and she rips. Apx. 20 cases of paint and not one ball break.
Every time I go out people are asking me what kind of Marker I am using. When I tell them it's an Automag, they don't believe me until they look at it up close.

The MG42 appropriately will have an Ego Frame on it, although i should be able to swap the ego frame around as I please...
what do yall think?
My current setup.
Ah well. I might as well post it since it's basically finished now. The only thing not in the picture is the 1" tip I got from ebay. I'm also going to move the Q-Loader into a slightly different position. More beside the gun instead of below it. Just have to mill out a bracket a bit more to make it work right.
I'll eventually be adding a sight and under-barrel nerf launcher I'm building to this as well.
****Update****
Here is the marker with the 1" tip for the freak barrel and the re-positioned qloader. This way it's easier to change qpods and helps reduce the overall profile of the gun. Great for when I have to lay down in the brush.
Overall length? 19 inchs.
This setup truly encourages one to play tight. It just feels most natural when holding it.

OMG! This is the coolest Minimag I've ever seen! I want "Z grip" now! Where did you get that stock from? I wanted to buy one too.
Yeah that is impressive but you would thing the stock and the grip don't allow for the shooter to "grip" the frame when shooting.

The stock is the T2W air through stock from spec ops. I love this stock because you can change the configuration of it so much. I actually have it set in it's "long" configuration. The short doesn't fit right because of the zgrip. You can even set the stock up as an offset if you really wanted to.Originally Posted by mag gizmo
As for the zgrip itself. It is really very easy to use, easier than any other kind of grip really (in this configuration at least)
Stand up, allow your arm to rest fully by your side. Make a fist and while only moving your elbow... move your fist up to your chin and look at the angle it rests at. The zgrip provides the most natural angle for your hand to hold something. Ygrip would probally be fairly similar, just not as extreme. Most of the time I find myself not even "gripping" the frame very tightly.. don't have to when you have a foregrip and stock.
One of the last 10 bodies PTP had. Picked it up earlier this year.
some picture thread.
it's all dead links and red X's!
*LOL* I'm fairly certain you can copy his config. I am. cept I'm going bead-blasted body and I'm using Doc's 'Cocker to Twistlock conversion so I can use my freak back. And I'll probably have to use a Y because Z's are so hard to find. We play on the same sim team and though it'd be wicked to have the same looking guns. He of course put this together and I liked the way it felt so I'm slowly building mine like his.Originally Posted by mag gizmo

Oh man. That chrome mag with the clear grips is BEAUTIFUL!! And I don't like chrome!
Not as pretty or as new as some, but its effective. this is my Minimag. I haven't played in 6 years. I had a mag then and I will have a mag now.

Well, I thought I would share my automag with you guys because I am pretty new to the board. I bought this back in 95 as my first paintball gun. I played amateur from around 98 to 2000 and pretty much dropped off the radar until a couple weeks ago. I have decided to get back into the swing of things, so this is where I am starting.
The gun is completely stock from early 90’s I believe. I have only changed the spring spacer for a power tube spacer. I bought a “Z-valve” but couldn’t get it to work right, so the gun still shoots like it did from the factory. I would like to find out when exactly the gun was produced. I bought it used in 95. There are no stars on the valve and the CN# is Cf22109. That would be cool if I could figure out how old this gun really is. I just put in new o-rings and oiled her up after almost 7 years of sitting. Shoots like it is brand new, even though it is well over 15 years old. I can’t out shoot the hopper and didn’t break one ball out of the 3 hoppers I emptied. I just bought the Revy 12V and Crossfire a week or so ago.
I plan on adding an X-valve with LVL10 & ULE. I am also building another Mag out of parts I have lying around. Ill make that my project and keep you guys updated. I down for some rec ball if anyone in or around Orlando wants to get together and represent AO!
Is there any way to determine how old this thing is?
