Yeah, now I'm confused too... It may be hollow and not a gas through but the drawing shows it as it'd go on the standard vertical ASA.

My order is correct, just 1 emicro body - no extra

MY BAD!! Sorry I'm a little tired. You will have to have a vert ASA to put any gas thru, grip, etc.... on it including our gadget grip. You don't have to have our grip it is just an option. Sorry guys, I think I am going a little brain dead.

My order is correct for the mm body. I'm not sure about the grip. Will my front grip on my RT pro ULE mount to this body? Depends on the price of the grip as to whether I add one. The color of the body may also be a factor for the grip decision. Also, what are the reasons to get an additional front?

I can try to answer some of these, but anyone please correct me if I'm wrong.

As I understand things:

What do I get with my purchase of a body?

With the purchase of a Mech body you get the mech front and the rest of the body. $220

With the purchase of a E-Micro you get an E-Front with the rest of the body. $220

Extra breech $60
Extra fronts $50
Vert ASA $20 raw $25 ano
Gadget grip $20 raw $25 ano
Strip and ano your 45 frame $35
Strip and ano your frame and battery pack $55
If you want your ASA double tapped $5


45 Frame needs to be RT Pro Style or original mag frame (NO wings) although you can always mill off the wings.

Is there the pressed in steel washer?

The main reason i upgraded the body design to 7075 material is so there wouldnt be a need
for the steel washer insert .

7075 is so hard , there will never be any rolling of metal like you get with 6061 .

What about the Z slot that I know and love?

The Z slot has been replaced with the straight slot like the brits have been using for some time now .

There are two different bodies. Mech micro (radiused lip) and Emicro (squared lip)

What is the MM front?

Notice that the very front of the body is squared off just below the block. Russell was thinking about rounding it off to flow better, but the squared off version allows for the EM and MM blocks to be interchangeable on a emicro body and fit flush. You can see why in the rendering of the EMicro front.

What is the EM front?

The difference between the two is that the EM front has the extension for a battery cover (it's all one piece). Here you can see why Russell went with a squared off body vice the rounded from the mech micromag versions (below).



Bottom line is that if you get both blocks, it is interchangeable between Emag Lowers or a mech/pneu setup. If you go that route, you need to get this specific ASA to mount a vertical grip of your choice. If you have a mech micro body and put the Emicro front on, there will be a small gap due to the radius of the lip.

What is a gadget grip?

I think we were all confused on this one for a bit. It's simply this grip that is screwed into the ASA (above). The grip is NOT gas through, but the ASA will be tapped on the side.

Whats the story with the vert grip?

Looks like it's a vert ASA or a vert ASA and the grip combo (price difference= $20 for ASA and $20 for grip so $40 for both). The grip was specifically designed to go with the body.

Is the vert ASA tapped or not tapped?

The asa will be tapped on 1 side for a macroline fitting like normal AGD asa's but if you want it tapped on both sides (for a gauge port) theres a small additional charge.

To tap both sides of the ASA, Forest said would be $10 or less.

What are the anodizing choices?

Just so everyone knows....We will do the dust black and gloss black. And the 3rd and final color will be gloss gun metal grey

sorry for the confusion with "satin" back in the day flat black was called satin and over the last say 10 years everyone is calling it dust. (I am still used to saying satin) It would be beadblasted and black. I am considering the gloss black, but the polishing part would have to be extra and not included in the original price as that is sent out. We do our own beadblast at the shop.

There are a lot of Gun Metal Grey versions, what is this version going to look like?

Can I send in my grip frame for matching ANO?

Just the frame? Depends on if it needs to be stripped and polished.
For just the frame, stripped, polished and ano...$35.00

For anyone wanting your frames, emag lowers etc to be anno'd. You must strip it of all parts, I do not want the responsibility of keeping track of those parts. Also I will have to mark them in an inconspicuous area (such as in grip handle where panels will cover it) so I can make sure you get your correct frame/part back. In order for me to keep the price down, it has to be anno'd together in lots. If the part has to be stripped/blasted/polish I really need to have it at least 1 to 1 1/2 weeks before we are ready to go to ano.

yes so now there is only one main body and different fronts now so you can mount it all up and it will all look the same

i dont know if that can be done since the vert ASA isnt gas through if i recall corectly, the grip itself would have to be a tube with one hole on the bottom or low on the side and one at the upper portion of the grip itself. unless you figure out how to oring the main screw hole at the top. which can be done then drill and tap the vert asa portion problem solved.
