I guess that's a good question... is there going to be anything printed on the boards themselves?Originally Posted by Ratt

My vote is for black.
I'd prefer black as well...
but I could also live with white if thats easier for you

We will have our company name on the board for sure.
Each board will have a serial number on it as well, might go with a "write on".
This will allow us to identify software versions on it as well as upgrades users purchase if they choose to pay for them.
Doesn't really matter much to me, but the idea of the first run having the AO logo is pretty cool
I sent in a new request to get better pricing on the Black, red, and white colors.
Looks like most of you guys want black,.. im okay with that.
I received an email from the tourney lock manufacturer today. They expect delivery of the switches around 3/14/12
I also called the LED guys, they said a couple weeks (2-4) remaining.
So we're tracking pretty well on this so far!
For those of you that are going to want an ACE board:
Any objection to eliminating the power wire that connects the battery to the bottom of the board?
I was thinking of bundling the ACE with a longer screw and a shim to get a permanent and more secure mount for the ACE.
Basically the ACE will stay mounted to the lowers with no wires hanging of it.
You can remove the ACE (of course) but you wont need to anymore to clean the lowers.

No.Originally Posted by splat15k
It will only require you to remove the old screw and nut, and replace it with the ones provided with the new ACE.

UPDATE on the ACE board:
I ordered some different sensors to test when the board comes back to me from the software engineer.
The board house is working on the colors now for the main boards.
We have been talking about details on the new ACE this week.
as you said its a drop in replacement, does that mean the ace will still be the single eye from the bottom functionality? I mean, that makes sense, but I just want to clarify.
Also, put me on the list for a main board + ACE, and if you could ship them together when they are all done that'd be appreciated -- I don't mind waiting.

Because we have different interfacing components to drive the main board, we are changing the ACE to reflect those changes on the main board.
The original idea was to use the old ACE, but that meant soldering. Something we wanted to avoid at all costs.
The new ACE will drop right in to the old ACE slot without any issues.
There will be some slight changes:
You will no longer have a power switch. Powering on the gun will be done with a button on the main board. You wont even need the yellow pin if you choose not to use it.
We talked about eliminating the POT as well. May or may not happen.
As for the wait on the ACE with delivery of the main board: I cant promise you will get both in a timely manner. You may want to get the main board first to have it AND get the lower Pre-Order pricing.
I have mentioned before, the price on the main boards will go up soon. Looking to be like the end of the month to FEB 17TH 2012.
The board house informed me of material costs to be increased. Those prices will effect the production for certain.
When you start the preorder on the ACE add me to the list!

We have been talking to the board house about MAYBE making an RF kit for E-Mags.
We would be looking at making a plug in module that you can add to ANY gun board.
It would either be:
basic like the Virtue RF Kit
or
"Smart" like,.... nothing else on the market right now. With the ability to read data/signals from the main board and "talk" to the loader board your using to correct feed and speed issues as your shooting.
Both do-able, smart board would be more expensive.
will your board have a plug on it for break beam eyes?
like the ego virtue breakbeams, that luke does hidden milling for?
thanks,
KNM

We are working to build the schematic for the RF Kits in March-April time
More to come!
Nice
Optical eyes came in for testing today.
The new HES came in as well.
The board went back to the software engineer so no testing till 2/11/12
We will continue to design the new ACE as well as the RF kit to keep the ball rolling.
