Sounds crazy, but I hear those things actually work. I don't get how you could pump 3000psi, I would think it would be impossible to do with a hand pump, but what do I know?
EDIT: Plus, for the price he is asking, you could just go get a scuba tank and some 4500 fills.

Actually, those aren't too uncommon. However, they are typically used with air-rifles, such as Air Force rifles. These use cylinders filled to 3K psi, but which are much smaller than those used for paintball. These pumps could be used to fill tanks for paintball, but it would take a bit of time due to the larger volume. Actually, I know someone who has one, but haven't gotten a chance to try it with my tank."My Jell-O is dying in the audience..."

Umm, nowhere does it say it can pump to 3000 psi, only that it has a 3300psi guage. Whoopee!Originally posted by GotMag?wait, so i can like get that little thing and manually fill my 3k tank? that sounds very wierd
Looks kinda like a bicycle pump...

However, is it filtered and cleaned air or does the pump simply compress it? That is what I thought....

This thing would be awesome. Has anyone used one and can say for sure it could fill up a nitro tank for a paintball gun and fill it to a decent amount? If you have used one, how long does it take to fill a tank?

yeah a 200 lb person can create a huge amout of force on one of those pumps (given that the seals don't leak, hence the $300 pricetag im assuming) . However the surface area of the cylinder is tiny compared to that of the one in a compressor or a power booster, so it takes much longer to fill the tank. I would like to see someone on AO review one, but given that they retail for about $100 less than a scuba tank, It could be a while.
edit: judging by the looks of that filter, you would have to buy and attach the filter from a air compressor if you wanted clean air; especially if you were using it at the field.

Hmmm...well, it would be nice to have to just mess around with your gun at your house or to do some tuning. To me it would be stupid to take to a field though, especially when all day air is normally only like $10 and it's 4500psi fills. I might pick one up later on just to mess around with.Originally posted by 50 calI've seen one in use at Ft. Campbell during one of the Craig Village shoots a few years ago.
Yes they work, but take awhile to fill a 68ci tank. He pumped for about 15min and got about 2600psi before he got ready to play again.

Exactly what I was thinking.Originally posted by 50 calI thought about getting one while just goofing off around the house. Blast away all your air while tuning or tinkering around? Pump it back up without having to run all the way to the p-ball store.
