Tapping For an LPR on a Stormwalk

I've had 2 Stormwalks for a while now and have been wanting to pneumag them for sometime. I have access to a large machine shop (the largest machine shop in the southeast), so all this was fairly easy. I do not have pictures of the actual drilling because I cannot bring a camara into work, but you guys would get the idea.

    1. The stormwalk does not have a hole on the inside of the foregrip. To drill a hole for the LPR, place the frame upside down on a drill press or mill clamping securley. You will have to drill through the existing fitting hole using a size "P" drill. This size is slightly smaller than actual fitting hole, so when centered it will not damage the threads on the fitting hole.

    2. Tapping the hole. Secure the frame on a vice using something on the sides to protect the frame. I pressed a nut onto my tap to make the tspping process easier. Make sure that tap is straight as it goes in.

2a. This method can also be used to tap the rear hole on the frame.

    3. Deburr the hole and give it a slight chamfer, this will allow the LPR to start in the thread easier.

    4. Install your LPR

    Hope this Helps

    Good tutorial!

Try some McmasterCarr 90* barb fittings. That should help out some.
