Does anyone know who out there is doing acid wash anno? I want it done right and reasonably quick. I'm not looking for the cheapest price around, I just want a quality job done right in a fair amount of time. I am looking to do the Joker colors purple and green acid washed. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

John at Acid Customs does anodizing too.
Lot of the guys over on the Custom Cockers forum use him.
Over there you can buy a section of the forum as a storefront which he has done.
Heres some of his work:

Keep in mind, he is a one man shop in Australia.
Lately in the dealers section here he is selling carbon fiber mag and emag triggers.
Thats his trigger on the Rudy Dean.
EDIT: I should have noted he did the milling job too.

We can help with that. Do you have the raw body, frame, rail & barrel? Take a look at the April 2009 MOTM (Geoff Call: http://www.automags.org/forums/showthread.php?t=238453) if this style is what you are looking for. Just imagine your colors, instead of the shades of grey.Time is what keeps things from happening all at once

That is exactly what I am looking for. I have a black and silver karta bodied emag with the same anno as the one in the MOTM pic which is what I'm looking to get done. I have a raw phoenix body and rail, raw clamping feedneck, everything else has been previously annoed. This is a pic of what I want but different colors:Originally posted by SkeeterWe can help with that. Do you have the raw body, frame, rail & barrel? Here is what I want annoed (raw clamping feedneck since pic was taken):
I bought 2 Sydarms from you guys a little while back and may be interested in your Xmag. Let me know. Thanks for the help. Thanks,

Hmmm... Fun project!!!
Enjoying the Sydarms? Not many people understood that when we say NIB, it really is NIB.
For the project mag...
Raw feed neck: Perfect
Raw body: Perfect
Raw rail: Perfect
Raw (or clear?) trigger???
Anno'ed frame, 15 degree adaptor & foregrip, barrel & ASA: Will need to be stripped down. Any chance you would like a raw DYE UL barrel? Could give better results, since stripping anno is not the best option. The ASAs are tricky, since there are a few parts. The frame can probably be stripped down without too much worry. Not sure how the foregrip will turn out if stripped. I might be able to get a raw CP ASA if you want??? The guy who does the anno hates working with stripped aluminum. He is a perfectionist, and raw metals give the best results.
I'll try to put together a quote for the anno work.Time is what keeps things from happening all at once

One quite thing that you should take note of kwik175
To achieve a purple and green looking acid wash the dye used will not actually be purple and green due to the fact that all anodizing dues are translucent and an acid wash design dose not mask off anything.
for an acid wash the darker color is always applied first then the parts are sponged with acid and bleach "mixing sulfuric acid and bleach created a gas that will kill you" it is extremely important that the parts are rinsed completely in-between sponging. After you have sponged off the desired look the part is then dyed with the lighter colored dye thus filling in the bleached sections. The anodized can create and acid wash with just acid just bleach or by using both. An acid wash done with just acid will look greatly different from one done with just bleach.
To sum it up with a simple example an acid wash done with red and blue dyes would look red, blue, and purple.
I am not quite sure what seeker is talking about with the use of raw parts giving a better look?
I am planning to do a post on the striping of parts one of these days when I can find 2-3hours in front of my computer to type it up.
