    Possible warp setup?

I haven't played pb since the early 90's and just found my mag in the closet a while ago and decided to play around with it. That led to me finding this addicting site and opened the door to new and wonderful ideas and inventions that were not even thought of when I put my mag away all those years ago. (Ok, only 9 years ago)
Anyway the wheels started turning when I saw the warp feed, it looks like a great system as-is but it looks awkward and of course I cant leave anything alone so.. What If?

This might have been brought up before since I've been out of the sport but heres a thought. With some minor changes to the warp, opening the wheels to the inside of a forgrip/hopper system. Essentially making it one slip-on/bolt-on unit for the front of your gun. With the weight centered and the removal of excess parts from the sides of your weapon, it would be much more compact.

The inside of the forgrip would be funnel shaped to a trough of some sort sloped to the warp wheel. Filling of the hopper would be from the front with tight sealing lid to prevent accidentally opening during play.

I realize without a force feed warp you will lose the ability to rotate the gun during play but I'm sure with a little thought it could be accomplished.

I'll post some pics of my idea.

Mag and hopper all in one. Cool But you would have to put a HALO type gear system in the hopper. But then why make it a two peice design? Make the warp THE hopper, I call it the "Wopper".....

crap i didnt look at your pictures enough. Lol i just copyed you idea. Well my pic just shows what the interior would look like. nice idea balance of centerfeed tightness of the warp and it'll be more hidden than a warp behind a bunker. Also looks like you got a richocet thing going too. Though the hopper from a front view should be egg shaped vertical so it wont have little edges of the hopper poking out when you lean out of a bunker.

With a breach like that you might want to look into a trapdoor feed, but that's secondary to getting the warp/hopper put together.

You might need to make the front slope of the hopper steeper so it'll feed into the warp more reliably.

Also you need to have a way to reload the hopper on the fly.

If you need a warp to hack up you can always buy mine :)

                  Just might do that vf

Yeah the angle would have to be steeper but I figured that slope would be on the inside, in the design I figured a flatter area for a forgrip would be better. Refills during the game from the front would be a PITA, maybe a clam shell back of some sort....

I'll be playin with some molds soon

autocad skill are quite usfeul in demonstrating ideas

but yea i can totally see what ur doing

basicly makine a paitball sized popfly machine that loads balls into the breech

                    very nice idea

but it's gonna be one very front heavy gun...i mean like will flip around ur hand heavy.

looks reminiscent of the magnum loader ATS was working on a few years ago... similar idea, only they used their chain-drive system to get the balls into the breach

It would probably be more practical to put the reload windown on the side of the hopper. It would make refilling quicker and people like me wouldn't have to worry about shooting ourselves.

Cristobal, Thanks for that web site. I knew someone had to have thought of this before. I've got a couple of ideas floating around on how to keep the warp fed. As for weight, I doubt it will make the gun too front heavy,if a drop forward wasn't used.

BTW, anyone have the outer case dimensions of the warp feed unit?
