ok..now escape velocity is getting ridiculous..

i hate how you can't opt out of doing what the vellos tell you to do. especially now..because i'm supposed to launch an attack against a space station with 4 federation ships..and every SINGLE time i get NOWHERE near the space station (it's HEAVILY defended). wtf am i supposed to do? as soon as i hyperjump in, i get shot at by like a thousand different things! i've died at least 75 times trying to do this. i'm getting mad lol. what should i do?

    Huh?

You should go outside and play, you have spent way too much time sitting in front of a monitor...

Just remember, discretion is the better part of valor. All you need to do is make it to the station/planet as fast as you can, and land on it. The Feds will take care of the rest.

It'll help quite a bit if you're in the Vell-os Dart when you try this--if you don't have it already, I think you can get it by landing on Earth during this mission.

hey thanks a lot, that worked! i really regret doing the vell-os missions though...they suck and i hate being forced into doing something.

also..i'm on a mission now where i have the find the HQ of the muhari or something..dunno how the heck i'm supposed to magically come across it, but i am..

You don't have to go and attack it RIGHT THEN. Go out there, earn $$ and WAIT till you can afford to buy and outfit a warship. Then hire escorts and THEN go and attack the station .

It's the most common rule in EV: If you can't do it now, then if it's not time critical, earn enough money till you can afford to fly the ship with which you CAN complete the mission.

Remember, this is EV. It's not really a linear plot line at all.

It's pretty easy. You should have noticed by now that your map information is automatically filling itself in as you enter each system. Just fly around in Polaris space for awhile, eventually you'll find the Mu'Hari system.

The Vell-os missions are worth the effort. By the time you complete them, you'll have the Vell-os Javelin, which is pretty much unstoppable. After this story arc, you'll start to run into situations where ten or more ships are attacking you, and the Javelin can cut through them like butter.

ok, you are done and you are on the planet out spiel, down to the right hand side is a warp, go into it, and you wil be returned to normal space

once you do that, fly to other planets, and go into bars, and you will be offered new jobs
