AO Team What do You Think of this Emag Front Grip???

    AO Reasearch Team,

In response you your many requests for a different battery pack on the front of the Emag we came up with this one as a compromise. It has 2/3rds length AAA batteries and gets about half the shots maybe somewhat less. It is much smaller but about an inch longer. Looking for your feedback!

      Hmmm...

      Hi Tom,

Do I like the principle of a smaller, lighter foregrip? Yes I do.

Do I like the whole idea of 'Angled Foregrips'? No I dont.

Angled foregrips are a fad. They'll go away when the cocker-kids realise that it looks dumb.

Tom, please make it straight and then post another picture...

      Thanks

      Jan.

          Ahhh! Much better!

          Thanks Tom,

Number 3 is definitely the best looking one.

In terms of practicality on the field, I suspect that 3 would be more comfortable too.

          Cheers

          Jan.

Vertical removable battery, this is the one that would be easiest for us to make and most likely to go into production.

Personally, I don't see what the big gripe is about the normal emag battery. It get's a ton of shots, it's NiMH (=good battery), and it is a nice, beefy foregrip. Maybe I am weird for trying to see beauty in function, not necessarily form. Mags may be "heavy" and "tubes," but they are tough (stainless steel, baby) and a marvel of engineering.

Personally, I'd like having the option of the normal battery. I have enough alkalines between my warp and revvy. Tom, I'm not complaining. The fact that you worked this up is yet another example of AGD's commitment to service and ingenuity. I am just saying that not all players just want something that looks cool. :-D

straight looks a lot better than angled. but its still pretty bland. think you can put some finger grooves into it or something???

also, i am to understand that on the regular Emags, in order to switch to Mechanical mode, you gotta take the battery out or put in an electrical interruptor? while having a backup Mechanical mode in case the Electrical goes defunct is an awesome idea, i don't think the Emag fully lives up to this potential. i don't like the idea of having to fumble with taking the battery out and messing with it to switch to Mechanical if i'm in the middle of a game. if you could design the Extreme so that all it takes is the flip of the switch to go from pure Electrical to pure Mechanical, it'd be a lot more convenient. forget about the Hybrid mode. its nice for bells and whistles, i guess, but noone buys the Emag for the Hybrid mode.

I really like it in principle but the blocky bit at the top of the tubular pack looks aweful in my opinion. I'd need to see one in the flesh to be sure though.

A square going abruptly to a tube doesn't work for aesthetics. If you blend the two together (like the AGDE battery pack was) then it would be much easier.

The pack they made over here could be made much more simply than the original prototype and acheive that look... you could also make it with seperate tops so that if people wanted to have an angled version they could...

Trust me AGD you want this one to look pretty if you want some tourney market share. DO NOT MAKE AN UGLY GUN!
I understand more than anybody the importance of function before beauty but you must work them in together. If you go all out to make the body look good and ruin it on a funky looking battery pack you have not accomplished much. I think we should not go for the easiest to produce but the best looking that incorperate a great functioning marker. Go all the way with this one Tom. Please you will be happier in the long run.

                        I agree with Manike...

I dont like that block above the tubular part.

I remember seeing a battery from AGDE that was round and removable and didnt have that block. Any Idea what happened to that, Simon?

If its as easy to make as you say, why not just implement that?

                        Cheers

The original prototype by AGDE is still being developed. It was however not an easy piece to make. I think a compromise could be achieved between the two.

Yeahhhh Baabyyy, I like It (Austin Powers tone).

I think all options look better permanently attached, even the angled one looks sexy when it is perm attached.

Maybe the ones with the block look better in person and we should also consider it WILL look different with everything anno'd.

I would DEFINATELY say you are making the right decision on doing this even if it is offered as an option to a regular battery pack.

                            Great Work.

All I have to say is that angled foregrips are the dumbest thing next to "Ginger", that two wheeled scooter.
