I need some masses of various parts - Tom?

Hey guys. I've dispatched an Email to WDP, but I'll ask again here and add some more parts that I didn't ask Frazer. I need the masses of the following parts: (preferably in grams, but imperial is OK):

1) Stock Angel bolt

2) Stock Angel hammer

3) Stock Angel ram shaft

4) Stock Cocker Back Block

5) Stock Cocker Pump Rod

6) Stock Cocker Hammer

7) Stock Cocker Cocking rod

That's it for now. This info will be used in an upcoming WARPIG article (the cleverest of you may be able to figure out what this info's for - PM me if you know ), and all parties that help out will receive credit on Warpig.

I'll get you the cocker values tomorrow.

If you're doing some type of comparison of the inertia of the moving parts you should include the weight (mass) of the bolt as well. Then there is the force of the hammer spring and the friction of the bolt.

Is there anything else you want?

Yeah, Sniper already got me the mass of the stock bolt. If you could get me the coefficients of friction for the stock bolt in the upper tube that'd be great, but it's not necessary (I have the equipment to do that). Come to think of it, I have the equipment to do all of these things - I just don't have a stock cocker .

All these parts are for pre-2002 stock cocker parts. My scale weighs down to 0.0001 grams but I rounded to three significant digits.

Back Block 1 => 39.388 g
Back Block 2 => 38.745 g
Back Block 3 => 38.998 g

Push Pin 1 => 13.961 g
Push Pin 2 => 14.095 g
Push Pin 3 => 14.004 g

Bolt 1 => 53.271 g
Bolt 2 => 53.680 g

Cocking Rod 1 => 15.950 g
Cocking Rod 2 => 15.924 g
Cocking Rod 3 => 15.585 g

Hammer 1 => 32.037 g
Hammer 2 => 35.966 g

Sear lug => 2.542 g

Pump Rod => 25.323 g

OK, I thought of some more information that would be helpful:

1) The internal diameter of the stock bolt (the big passage for the air to go through to reach the ball)

2) The i.d. or length (or both) of the 2k+ air chamber

PS - anyone else surprised to see such a large variance (by CNC standards) in the masses of the hammers?

I'll have to double check on the hammers, they looked similar but I didn't compare them very closely.

If you want more info on them I can check them for wear or other differences.

I don't have access to a stock cocker body... I'll measure some of the new milled bodies my friend has if that will work for you.

Are the passages the same i.d. and length? If he made it with a larger air chamber I'll have to pass - the stock numbers are more universal since most cockers are built on WGP raw bodies.

there are two. the first (from the front) 3/4" (i think) is 1/2" ID. the second 3/4" is 1/4" ID.
thats off the top of my head, so take it with a grain of salt.
