X-VALVE SPEED TEST = AVERAGE 32.7 CPS! (pic and sound)

In the spirit AO's preference for evidence and test results over buzz words and marketing hype, I give you the following to chew on:

    Marker setup:

    ULE Body
    X-Valve
    Level 10
    I-Frame
    Max-Flow 68/4500

    Input pressure = 900 psi
Opperating pressure set to shoot 285 fps

    Average CPS = 32.7

    Fastest CPS = 34.9

    UPDATE! Video Clips are up!

    Check em out here:

Automag MAX CPS (4 MB mpeg)

Automag Sweet Spotting the Trigger (4.8 MB mpeg)

Thanks and big ups to Gadget for hosting these clips!

      Too Fast ???

I am assuming that is dry firing? Since there is no hopper that can do that yet, does that mean that the LX valve is kicking in 1 shot in 3, assuming you are going 32 and a haloB can only do 20-22 ????

Can you do another clip like that and really fire paintballs?

Thanks for the clip BTW. It is truely amazing!!!!

It is dry fire... hense the use of CPS instead of BPS.

I was going to open my back door and fire off a few balls, but it's late, and I don't think my neighbors would like it.

My wife would beat me if the cops show up due to "reports of gunfire.." LOL!

I'll see if I can record something after work tomorrow...

I don't know what would happen if I used a Halo B and fed this thing at 20 bps while it shot at 32.

My guess the gun either jams (no breaks) or Mr. Level 10 will be pulling double duty...

          Let's Wait till tomorrow...

I am up late having just been called by our production services for a problem with our server up in canada, and I am quite curious, but let's not risk getting the cops involved. ROFLMAO... They would probably find it amazing too, but let's not test the theory!!!!

Hummm... Interesting... Theory predicted that the lighter LvL10 bolt would cycle faster but no one ever tried it! Nice job Jack!

              Thanks Tom !

At these speeds maybe I should grab some Duralub or Slick50..? LOL j/k

If I cranked up the pressure a bit would it cycle even faster?

              /me too scared to try...

                  Quite probably...

Not that we have ever run a gun at 1200psi... honest...and we didn't do it direct from a scuba tank either

im not in a thinking mood right now, so how exactly did you get it to shoot that fast?

This would also mean that there is probably no shootdown either. The level 10 bolt requires an amount of chamber pressure slightly more than the bolt spring return pressure in order to operate. Therefore, the fact that the bolt is cycling every time indicates that the valve chamber is fully charged for every cycle as well.

                        Good job.

Now lets get a loader that can keep up and really show the power.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

i remember when butterfingers did something like this a few months back....and he refused to share his insight if i remember correctly. Do you care to explain "If you know how, you can reproduce what I have done."

Jack, if you still need space to host I can. We're allotted webspace here at school and the servers are pretty darn fast.

if your able to email them to me that'd be great. [email protected]

if not we can get on some chat or IM stuff.
