so ive modified my rail, put on my warp ule body, now how do i set my hopper?

got a warp ule today. first impressions, nice. much lighter than the stainless. of course i had to modify my rail. (im no surgeon thank goodness) if my rail had been annod i wouldnt trust myself. actually came down a little to far as i can now see a little under the body. two questions

    A) one problem i noticed and i guess its unavoidable but...my adapter from my warp hose (plastic piece) just slides on. and of course slides off. are the A+ clamps that someone posted a while back the solution to this.

    b) secondly, whats the best config for the hopper. ive seen pics of edweird and shadow462 setups. any other input. has anyone used a 90 deg warp adapter and cut straight through the top of the hopper and bottom. creating a straight shot. is this too much of an angle for the balls. does it need to be slightly curved.

i used an evolution on it a couple of weeks ago (hopper went dead) to be honest it worked great. i kinda like the way the feeder sits closer to your body. revs are so much lighter though. id like to see any pics or hear ideas anyone has on this one. thank you AGD and for the individual who hooked me up with the body :)

I think that both of your questions can be answered by looking at the way most of the guys on Storm have set-up thier X-mags.

Paintball Talk is the main forum for Automags.org. Here is where we talk about the sport of paintball in general and make announcements relating to the forum and website.

Now I have a question for you. How did you cut down your rail? I'm thinking a combination of files will be the cleanest way possible. Giving me the most control.

          ,

muirtach - im sure there are several do it yourselfers/tool freaks that would cringe but....

i dont know what i used, see the pic. i think they are both really for masonry. i bought the cheapest bit they had ($5) for a dremel. i dont have a dremel, so i used a cordless drill, no vice either. not the most professional way to do it. i also used the same bit to mill out my twistlock area (PIMM hole?). made it from round to square so i could slap a minibody on my emag. props to rogue on the rest of the milling of the rail. ule rail minus the wings.....as light as it gets.

thanks for the link. ....3rd pic down. is that a special feed tube going into the pro team adapter. whats the large lip? a clamp? just curious as to whether the proteam adapter stays on tight or not? definately a clean setup.

anyone wanna sell me a 90 deg adapter :)

tuna - you know i will. plan to get it annoed in the next couple of months. btw, i never really even messed with the morlock for the length of time ive had it. played with the rof settings today. scary considering i thought it was pretty fast to begin with. insane speed. fun to mess with.

            .

well here it is. got it put together. id like to cut down the adapter neck a little as to get the hose adapter to sit flush.

even tried running it at a 90 deg straight down through the hopper....but it seeme to defeat the purpose of a warp and low profile as it put the adapter perpendicular to the body.

still curious as to what other alternatives there are, clamps etc. seems like you could have a one piece connector that contains the feed plug. in other words int connects directly to the hose. as is the plastic hose adapter doesnt even sit tight on the 90 deg adapter. as you can see i put some tape to correct this. anyone

what sort of adapter is that in the link above, 3rd pic down. is that adapter threaded into the warp module or is it a one piece design?

muirtach - if you decide to use the pro team adapter i want to see pics.

Right now I'm just going straight up from the warp to the adapter. Unfortunately I don't have any pics, becasue my marker is in pieces waiting for an X-valve. The 90* does stick up a bit, but I've been sighting over the top and have not even noticed it in place.

That third pic looks like it is just using a different feedneck and the AGD 90* is going into it not over it.

I'm trying to find a comparison picture of a AGD and PTP 90* adapters to see if the PTP one is any smaller. If it is... oh boy.
