who makes better N2 tanks: Crossfire or PMI, I'm looking for a steel stub

I guess it depends on which has a better regulator, I just want a small tank, thus a steel tank. Are there any 88cu steel tanks???

lookin fer IR3 or Xtreme (C&C)

black RT Mag for sale. Great condition. Stock barrel, sanded bolt, I-frame, blade trigger. Extra parts, bolt spring, internals o-rings, extra hardline, nubbins, hardline. it doesnt break balls except on ppl. asking $450.

I think either of these are good tanks. I have the Crossfire stubby and love it though. That would be my recommendation. Can't beat the price either.

true that on the price, but pmi has less moving parts and higher air flow...... and it's black go's better with any gun that the green crossfire....... to the best of my knowledge they do not have 88 stubs...... they would be heavy hitters or they might have old ones from the early 90's probably used too..... not crossfire or pmi...... lol

          i'd get a pmi

i've had the crossfire stub now i have a pmi 68/4.5k

sold the tank to a friend and has 2 tanks at once didn't need them both

From what I understand, Crossfire regs have a much better flow rate than PMI, and the regs are a bit more consistant. That being said, I HATE the green color my 68 stubby is! :) Good thing I bought a nice purple tank cover!

                ah!

OK - so some ppl say Crossfire has better reg. and flow, other say the same about PMI

Then PMI apparently has less moving parts...???
                Crossfire is green (big deal)
                Crossfire is cheaper...

Which tank is smaller length wise and width?

I used a 48 ci PMI on my mag for a while and it worked great. I just bought a crossfire 68/4500 though and its fiberwrapped

I bought my 47 at paintballgear.com for $69. I bought the small tank because I fill my own. I'm not sure about the speed of the reg but I don't notice shootdown or any other side effects.

Well, well, what do you know, paintballers are disagreeing on equipment. What's the world coming to?

I think its a safe bet that either of these tanks will do you good. Probably could make it a price/looks purchase.

The Crossfire and Pure Energy tanks are made by the same Canadian company, only the regs are different. The Crossfire is set at 800-850psi, while the PE is set at 700-750. This is where the higher flow rate myth comes from.
