Lol this comes back to the post where BlackVCG said one of the cool things about being a moderator is that people don't disagree with your posts...and normally I agree always because they normally have more knowlnegde than me. But I disagree...I don't know what on...I JUST DO, LOL.

I like the PE's more because they look alot nicer and have a nice shiny reg on them...makes them more appealing...and the PE and Crossfire Stub tank looks kinda weird (No Offense). But you still can't beat the cheap prices.

I don't know about the PMI reg... I've seen them fluctuate. I saw one with a 750 psi output, and another (supposedly identical) reg putting out just shy of 1000psi.

Well I have both. The PMI is a 48 ci and the Crossfire is a 68. both are 3000psi

The PMI 48 ci is an Aluminum HPA tanks not Steel. For that reason the Crossfire 68 ci is the same size as the PMI 48 ci and a tad lighter than the PMI 48! The Crossfire is Cro-Molly Steel. Thats why they are the same size physically but still bigger in interanl volume and even lighter than the PMI 48! Trust me I meassure d and weighed them and I ahve them both. (well... I just sold the PMI 48 last week but...)

I have found references to Crossfires being preset to 750. And PMI to 850. But also found conflicting references as well to the Crossfire being 850 also. I don't know for sure which to believe. They both work well and are fine tanks. But the crossfires are lighther and smaller due to the Cro-Molly steel. The 47 ci Crossfires are Black with Brass colored regs, The 51 and 68 are Green with Brass colored regs. The PMI's are all Black with Chrome regs.

I sell both and have way fewer problems with teh PMI PE tanks. In fact I am looking to build a kick around gun that is a light set up. I am looking at the PE 45 4500. I sell about 30 PE tanks a month give or take and I say I get one back in 100 with some sort of problem. Of those I would say most I can fix in teh store as they are not a reg problem.

The PE is just a good solid system. I ahve WAY many more problems with the cross fire regs.

the new crossfire regs are fantastic; just as good as PMI if not better! But (there's always a but, isn't there?), the old crossfire regs absolutly BLOW!!!!!!!!!
