Know any different games of paintball?

This thread is dedicated to different games/rules. Here is my submission:

    DEATHWISH

    Requirements
Two teams, one referee with a stopwatch and a smaller field.

    Setup
Teams are placed on opposite ends of the field with a set number of paintballs (5 or fewer, depending on the skill level of the player). The referee will sit in the middle of the field to quickly call people out and keep careful watch of the time.

    Rules
When the game starts, each team must try to get as many players as possible to the opposite side of the field. Normal rules apply for eliminations, but players don't leave the field, they simply raise their gun and wait for the game to end.

After one minute the referee stops the game and one point is awarded for each player who has successfully made it to the opposite end without being eliminated. Multiple rounds can be played and the scores combined by simply restarting the game each time from opposite sides of the field.

    Victory
The team with the most players to successfully make it across the field within one minute wins.

    Variations
Flags can be placed throughout the field and any flag that is captured is also worth one point. Alternatively, points can be scored either for successfully crossing the field or for eliminating an opposing player.

The idea for this game came from The Paintballer's Almanac by Ron Smith and Parr Young.

I have played freeze tag. You get hit, you stand there with your gun up. If a teammate can touch you, you are back in.

I have played terminator. One person has a 2"X2" square on their chest and back. A hit to the square is the only hit that counts. The terminator is against everyone. (Seen a 10 year old play this on his birthday).

Protect the president. 1 person (with out a gun) is defended by a team of agents. They can do whatever it takes to keep him from being hit by the assassins.

    Top gun. Everyone for themselves.

The Blob is a good one.

Starts out every man for himself. If you shoot person B, they effectively work for you. If "B" then shoots "C", "C" now also works for you. If "D" comes out and shoots You then You, "B:, and "C" now work for "D". The "team" leader who takes out everyone else wins.

      Iron Man rules:
      Head and Torso shots only.

        "Chainmen"

Pretty fun, certainly in a field with small bunkers.

You attach two guys to eachother. Either on the wrist or ankle ( chain or rope). And give them only one marker. Then at least three doubles per opposing teams. And battle it out.

        Pretty clumsey

I was thinkin of somethin like blackhawk down, one team in a "heli" (can be a car or a few bunkers oriented in a circle) and another team with an overwhelming advantage:P might be fun but i guess this is more along the lines of scenario play.

or perhaps do a backseat driver thing: gunner is blindfolded, and a team-mate acts as the eyes. n then shoot out with several teams. can be scary for the gunners tho

              dangerous

              I wouldn't play that game

Another good game, that you would of course need the particular setup for was one that I used to play in Ocala Florida, called texas shootout. It had two opposing bars that you could do the old west style shootout in. Take 1 pod out there with ya, and single load the rounds into the gun.. fun times

                Zombie:

depending on the number of players, but about 1/10th of the players start as zombies, the rest are hunters. zombies get to go on the field up to 5 minutes before the other team and select their positions (works best in the woods) and the other team has to scour the field to find them. If the zombies shoot someone, then that person becomes a zombie, if the hunters shoot the zombie, the zombie is out. Plays well with zombie outs coming only with head/torso shots.

                2 on 2 on 2 on 2 ect.

Set time game, can be played with objectives or not, all players pair up and start from a common to field center. When a player gets shot, they go to the start and wait for someone else to get shot and reenter the game...just a fun time/paint wasting game :)

                      Good thread.
Protect the president worked better with pump markers than it does now.

I always liked civil war, a variation of which was listed before. You line up two teams and have a bag/pod of paintballs. Either no hopper and breech load, or I played it in the time of mech semi where you actually used a squeegie to load a ball. Much fun and a very realistic feel for what that must have been like.

Doing duels are pretty fun as well. Back to back, one paintball loaded, and a pre set number in hand with no hopper. Take five steps turn and fire. Works well with stock class markers. 10 steps is just too far...

Another that is easy to play anywhere and has a nice leveling effect is hopper ball. Use what you want, shoot as fast as you want, but you can only use one hopper. This can be adjusted downward for skill level.

zombies is great....we play only headshots kill zombies.

President still works....just need more guards.

Limited paint is always a great way to get some good action. 1vs1 10 shot is really intense and great to watch.

Christmas tree field speedball is my favorite of all time though.

I did this once with friends about 3 years ago... we dueled a couple of times... then we decided on a variant... we would turn and unload on each other (this was 2v2) and the first one to back off looses... unfortunately it ended in a tie as we just sat there and unloaded on each other and no one backed down... thankfully we didn't reload from our pods as we had welts enough for that day.

Paratrooper Teams divide up and line up behind home base or dead zone. Every 5 seconds the ref yells go and and 1 person leaves to go after the other team for elimitation.

                              PBLI "Fun Tourney"...

Not sure if it is still around, but I attended a "fun" tourney at Paintball Long Island a number of years ago. I think it may have been pump because we played against Masse and his gang. They had a half-dozen or so different scenario fields that you would rotate through...

Triangle - The field was shaped like a triangle. The teams started at 2 corners, while the flag was at the third. You had to hang the flag at the other teams base. Strategy? Go straight for the other team? Race to get the flag pull? Defend your base?

Egg - Everyone was given a raw egg. You had to carry the egg through the game. If it broke, you were out.

Hula Hoop - You had to keep the hoop around you through the whole game.

Jokers Wild - They randomly dealt out cards to everyone. After time was up. the "hands" in the dead box were compared.

Shake hands in the middle - Everyone left their guns at their base. YOu would meet in the middle of the field and shake hands. On the whistle, you would race to your base, grab your gun and start playing. I think there is a pic on Warpig somewhere of my fat @$$ bending over to pic up my gun (thanks, Dawn).

I may have the entire list filed away somewhere, I may haveto look for it.
