Agreed and my bad for starting the hostilities. But it still stands that Garf hasn't shown signs of running away with our money yet. He is keeping personal communication open which is huge. The fact that you can actually speak to a live body is incredibly professional. A big difference from Chris at Devil's Den shutting down all communication. He stopped posting on the forums, he stopped answering e-mails, and he sure as hell didn't give a phone number.

Garf isn't shady, he just screwed up royally in his calculations. And like I said, he should be held responsible for that, it's his mistake and it pissed us all off. But he's obviously no scam artist. It just frustrates me when AO'ers stoop to the level of calling people scammers without sufficient evidence. Especially when they could easily call him on the phone and relay their concerns to him personally. It's not mature at all to hide behind an internet screen name. Yell at the guy personally if you're so upset.

Nope I did it in another thread. And I have since apologized for it. I flew off the handle at Garf when he first said he was going to do this pre-order. Then I saw the pictures and videos and actually started talking to the guy. That was my mistake, I was man enough to apologize to Garf for it.

And I've remained somewhat skeptical through this thread, a little skepticism is healthy. But I am not calling the guy a scam artist. I'm upset that he miscalculated how long this would take and I hold him responsible, but I also acknowledge that he's working to get us our frames.

Is he some horrible villain bent on stealing our money? No. Is he the greatest guy in the world and free of any responsibility with regards to our unacceptably long wait time? No. I'm trying to be objective about this.

funny thing, i actually defended Garf,
I know the crap that can jump out at you when your in business or just trying to build something.

then one day i called him to try and get some answers, still on his side, to hopefully be able to get some info that would help smooth over the feelings here in the forum.
During that call the girl that answered first was evasive about whether i had reached the correct number or not....
then when Garf got on the phone he pretty much told me that because i did not order a frame, i had no right to the information and i should pretty much go away and pound sand...
I found the attitude i got on the phone to be both rude and defiant!
so this sent up some red flags for me, and kinda pissed me off...not a good thing to do...
so my opinion of G-Force as a company has changed.
Garf first said there were going to be 2 runs, my intent was to see the finished product from the first run, then possibly order on the second.
then the second run was canceled.
Garf has said publicly in this thread that his company is not a "Paintball Company"
and they have no plans to produce the frame that they hold the patent for.
OK, Garf,
does this mean you will be selling license so that others can produce this product?
are you waiting for a company to buy your patent?
do you intend to sit on the patent to prevent people from using this product?
are you following the Smart Parts example and waiting till others have built businesses and are making sales, then you back adjust your patent to force them to pay you or stop production?

are you trying to date the Gardener Brothers?

If you haven't spoken to Garf in 4 months, then call him now. I'm not going to make excuses for him, but it's pretty ridiculous to compare him to SEARS. He's running a small custom batch of Mag accessories. Yea, you do have to call to get the scoop. It's not unreasonable. In fact it's better than getting information from a message board. It's way more personal to talk to a live body.

Whatever, I'll be glad when we see the manual and you can grow up.

The thing is, it IS unreasonable to require customers to constantly call for updates on a product.....especially when the updates that the seller is providing are constantly false. The seller provided a time frame for the product, he didnt meet the time frame, so it is his responsibility to provide updates on when the customer will be receiving the product.

It doesnt matter if he is making 1 frame or a million, he has constantly lied to his customers, just because its "custom" (which its not unless each frame is different for each customer) doesnt give him the right to constantly tell people he is shipping in 2 weeks......and here were are 10 months later.

which is harder, dealing with 100 phone calls every week or writing 1 email every 2 weeks and forwarding it to every single customer. Which is more reliable, 100 different phone calls, or 1 solid mass email? Garf in no way took an initiative to keep the customers informed on the product, if he gave a crap about his customers you would see him initiating the communication.....instead all I see is you advocating people to call him, which it is not their responsibility to do.

Your defending him because you had a phone conversation with him, not because you have a product in your hand......your support is no more valid than someone claiming that he took all your money and went on a vacation to Hawaii, because neither of you have one shred of proof. Telling people to grow up shows a lot of immaturity on your part.....these people have every right to complain, just because they have a different point of view than you doesn't give you the right to start name calling. Even after the manual is released these people have every right to complain, because they still dont have a product that was supposed to be delivered over 8 months ago.....and even after people receive frames they can still complain, because apparently LPR's arnt going to ship with the frames, which make the frames USELESS to somoene who doesnt happen to have a LPR laying around. And even after the frames, LPRs and every other component ships, people still have every right to complain because this has taken 9 months longer than originally intended.

If anyone should be supporting Garf, it should be Garf himself.....but he obviously doesnt care what is said here, he has shown that with the very few responses he has posted in this thread. He could have instantly ended any doubts in himself and the frames existence by posting a simple picture of a bunch of frames on a table.....do you see any pictures? Claiming that someone may copy his work based on a picture is just stupid, no one asked for detailed internal pics of the frames....oh wait, someone copying his frames wouldnt matter anyway, he has already been paid for all the frames he is creating I'll just say it to make it simple: There is absolutely no reason he shouldnt be able to post a simple camera phone pic of a box of components, frames, or anything else to support his claim he is working on these frames, but it hasnt happened......WHY??? Provide a legitimate reason why he wouldnt be able to snap a quick pic of ANYTHING to prove there is work being done and not only would I take back almost everything ive said, i'm sure plenty of other people would do the same, till then dont support someone you dont know personally because you talked to them on the phone for a few minutes.
