Upcoming AO South games....

Just as a heads up, I am working with Mel to set some dates for the upcoming games.

The ".5" game will likely be held in May, per Mann's suggestion. I would like to have it before it gets too hot, and while people are still around for school. Input on dates for that is appreciated, just so long as it isn't May 30th.

The AO South '10 game is going to be held in Nov again, as far as I know now. It is too far out to pin down a date. As always, I am going to strive to bust out a few suprizes to keep things (more) interesting.

Thanks to all that have made this a great success, and hope to see even more of you at next years events.

Not sure how many college students are going to attend, but finals & graduation is ~ may 4-15th for the University of Tennessee. I would guess that it is the same for most other universities.

Memorial Day is May 31st so that weekend of the 29-30 should be off limits IMO (too many people do family stuff then)

That would leave May 22 for the best candidate IMO.

Memorial Day week-end would be out for me... I will be headed to Living Legends 3 at CPX Sports in Chi-Town...

I am sure we can all come up with a date...

Agree 100%. Even with the geographical difference, I don't want to make anyone have to choose.

Do we want to go April, or do we want to go June?

The only concern I personally have with June is going to be the heat. Otherwise, I think some folks might be out of school and back at home that late....as well as possibly being in the way of some summer vacations....

Is anyone planning on going to TB? I dont want to make anyone choose, but there is 13-14hr travel difference between the two of us. I would almost say to just do the same weekend.

I cannot due june(first week in june is a huge vacation week too), and it will be too hot in july. Mid april would not be bad, but I would stay away from the end due to college finals. Easter is on the 4th so that weekend is out.

maybe I say we get with mel, and look at 4/10, 4/17, or 5/22

If all are availible make a poll, and see who can attend when. Leave it up for a month, and allow everyone to choose as many options as want. Make it public so we can see where everyone votes.

I'll be back home in Jacksonville come May. But I'd still be interested if anyone driving up from Florida wants to pick me up.

K, well since Easter (and my son's bday) is on the 4th, and WK2 can't come the third weekend....I like 4/10. Sounds cool too, lol.

Mel, what do you think about April 10th for the "half" game?

That will also keep us in the cooler weather....

still a bit early for nailing down a date. Too far ahead for me to judge. I need to check the MPP schedule so that I dont conflict with one of those games

Looks like April 10/11 is out for me... The Hellions have a game scheduled for April 10-11 - "Panzer Attack" - Bailey's Battlefield in Missouri ....

The following week-end (17-18) is also out due to me working at Range Control... So looks like I won't be making the spring meet ....

any campgrounds you could recommend in the area so that the wife and i could make the journey up the night before and then not have far to go afterwards. It's not that far from Conyers but it would still be a haul and it would be way too early on a saturday. It also gives me an excuse to use some of my vacation time.

I don't know if anyone has actually taken Kruger up on it, but he has offered to have the field opened and camp out there. There is no running water on site, but has some good flat spots to pitch a tent.

If you look back at some of the past AO South threads there are links to hotels/motels in the area, but as far as an actual campground I can't help.

by the powers of google maps and the spgpaintball.com website. I present to you a campground 3.8 miles from the field.

Coosa River Lock and Dam Park

And, I was gonna tell you that there was a campground at the Lock and Dam. But, you beat me to the punch. There are showers there as well, or so I am told. I think that the rate is ten bucks a day.

for a site with power, and water on the river is $22.00 a night. Now once I have a finalized date. I can reserve a site for Friday and Saturday of that weekend and I will be set for the .5 game.

My wife, myself, and a co-worker are waiting only for the date to be set.
