Velocity Pump thread - August '07

Field opens around 8am (I think that's when they open the gates)

I think play actually starts around 9:30-10ish. We usually get there around 9 give or take a few minutes.

Most of the pump players try to park somewhere around where the Food Cart is located by the front office near the chrono range. Makes it easier to gather everyone up and head out to the next field. Depending on all participants, We usually play till they are breaking down the airball fields which is around 3:30-4:00ish.

This is just a once a month thing to get people excited about pump play, you will play with other pumpers as your own private group. There are no particular rules other than playing with some kind of pump marker.

Be sure to Hydrate yourself throughout the day as Ramona can get really hot.

All the events I want to go to this month is on my anniversarry. Which means no play for me.

Yeah- we try to do it every month. This year has been pretty good at the monthly deal. I will definatly post it up here every month.

If your on any other forums (SCP, MCB, PHOG, PBN) it should be there also (and Velocity's forum of course) I go by the same name at those places as well, I can send you a reminder if you like.

If you sign in on the velocity forum, you can chime in on Sept. 23rd. I'm trying to get that day going. It's a group decision on what day to do it, as long as it's a Sunday.

I'm guessing that's the name of the SC Village scenario. I wanted to goto that but my schedule was permitting it. And I just found out I can't even go to Pump day myself those are so much fun.

Maybe you can catch the next one. Not sure what the day will be exactly but we really try to do this once a month. I plan on posting them up here regularly now. Somehow I have taken it upon myself to help promote pump day here in San Diego. Last month we had our best turn out thus far with about 23 pumpers (I think there was more, as that was a guesstimate)

Keep a look out for the next one coming up.


And to those thinking of coming, it doesn't cost you anything to sign up. If you make it there, cool and you get the entry fee discount. If you don't make it, well there's always next time.

Well Kristen just gave the 12 hour pump scenario a green light. I don't know what the date is yet but I will definitely try to be there.

So how was the turnout? Did you guys have a good time? Any word on the next one?

Turnout was minimal (10-11) I unfortunatly had to miss is also. But not bad considering it was short notice.

I have a post on Velocity trying to set the date up for Sunday Sept.23rd tenatively. I think I'm gonna push it in the next few days and make it official. I will post up when we figure it out (very soon here)
