Well, let me help. OK D-Day is held each year in June in the northeast corner of Oklahoma. This year, the event will be held from 9 June - 15 June 2008 with the Big Game--the one that counts for points and bragging rights for a full year--played on Saturday, 14 June 2008. Here is a link to the D-Day website, and here is a link to the D-Day forum.

Now, if you want to run with the best unit at D-Day, get with Bagheera and join the Geisterjagers, the German Sniper Korps. Don't worry, you won't be sitting all day in a ghillie suit waiting for three or four shots. The GJ's operate all over the 800 acre field in the manner of a Marine recon unit. A link to the Geisterjager recruiting thread can be found here. If you want information on any other unit in the German forces, LMK.

I will leave it to Bagheera to post information on practice arrangements.

So what exactly does SoCal mean to you guys?

Cause SoCal to me means Souther California. And that is not anywhere near oklahoma that I am aware of.

If this is in Oklahoma I will not be able to attend. But good luck and have fun.

SoCal means southern Califonia to me, and that's where Bagheera is from. OK D-Day is in Oklahoma. Sorry to hear you can't make it; that is a long trip. I was looking forward to some AO'ers at this event. So far, we have guys in our unit coming from Washington state, California, Minnesota, Louisiana, Illinois, Missouri, Florida, Oklahoma, and even 9 all the way from Canada. I think Bagheera was looking for some guys in SoCal to practice with locally in preparation for OK D-Day, but I will let him clarify that himself.

Thanks for the good thoughts. Best wishes back your direction.

Always seen D-Day fun pics in the magazines. Always wanted to try one of those huge scenario games. Just not in the buget right now with the new 08 tourney season.

Hope you assemble a decent SoCal AO squad though!

Ha, I may have to sig that for my recruiting threads if you don't mind. Hopefully some day you will be able to attend. Moral (and immoral) support are appreciated.

Ack, took me a while to get back to this thread. I live near SC Village in Chino, CA, and will be there for AO Double Trouble (this month and Feb.) I'm also looking for other potential or current Geisterjagers or Axis players (I'll even settle for Allied!) for Oklahoma D-Day to practice with. I'm just returning to paintball, and need to brush up on team tactics and whatnot, so I'm looking to get back into the swing of things with experienced team players, especially if they're going to D-Day.

If you're going to D-Day and are a Southern Californian, them by all means PM me. If you're Northern Californian, who knows we may get an opportunity to practice as well, since I'm in the Bay Area frequently.
