Just thought I'd share this with my fellow paintballers located in Chicago, and the North West Suburbs. The Village of Cary is considering approval for zoning of an indoor paintball field, which would be located on Industrial Ave. It'd sure be ideally located as it would be within walking distance of the Metra Station. Here is the article:

Indoor paintball might be coming to Cary.
During the Village Board meeting Tuesday, Jan. 6, Village Administrator Cameron Davis asked trustees for feedback on the possibility of an indoor paintball facility opening on Industrial Drive.
Davis said paintball operation is not listed in the existing village ordinance.
"What we would have to do, what the board would have to ultimately do to make that happen is that we would have to revise the village's ordinance that deals with not having air guns," he said.
Village Attorney Michael Coppedge would assist in revising the ordinance, Davis said.
"I'm fine with it," Trustee Steve Adams said.
Trustees Tom Kierna and Ray Chisholm expressed mixed emotions on the concept but said they needed more information.
"I'd like to learn more about it," Trustee Tom Kierna said. "I'm not saying 'no.' I'm happy that it's in the manufacturing zoning versus a retail on (Route) 14."
Trustee Rick Dudek said he was "not too crazy" on the idea and suggested an entertainment tax if the project moves forward.
Mentioning home rule, Mayor Pro Tem Debra McNamee said she didn't think the village could have a tax.
McNamee then spoke about her 14-year-old son.
"When the park district built the skate park here in Cary I was so disappointed," she said. "My son is a skateboarder, and they are going to devote acres upon acres to a dog park and they gave them a postage stamp for the park.
"It's actually dangerous," she continued. "As you come down one ramp, you run into another. If you go there to that park at any time, any day, it is packed and you can't even move when you're in it."
McNamee concluded her remarks by mentioning an indoor skateboard facility in Lake in the Hills.
"To me, that would be something I would like to encourage in this town," she said. "Kids get into trouble. Why? They have nothing to do. You put these type of activities within the town and the parents don't have to be running to Woodstock to let them go do it."
Village Director of Building, Planning and Zoning Bob Nowak identified the prospective petitioners as Hunter Schultz of Hunter Paintball in Crystal Lake and Keith Desmet.
