Hey all. I've been thinking about this for a while now and wanted to get your take on it. I was checking out Zak Vetter's website a few months back and found the pages with the NorCal v. SoCal games. (http://zakvetter.com/pages/paintball...ocal/main.html) Its been a few years since the last one (at least from what I can see), and was thinking that it might be time for another one. The games were held in Atascadero, just North of San Luis Obispo on the 101. I have contacted Zak and he said that he thinks it would be good to get this going again and has offered his help if needed.
I live in San Luis, and a new field opened up here last year. It's called Gladiator Paintball, http://www.gladiatorpaintballpark.com/. It's about 10 minutes from San Luis on the 1. It is on land owned by Camp San Luis, the army base. I've yet to play there (I've mostly been playing woodsball with friends), but I stopped by there today to get a good look at it. I spoke with one of the guys working there about an AO day. It turns out he was at one of the N vs. S games a few years ago. He said it sounds like a good idea. I spoke with the owner, Gary, and he agreed as well. They would definately be able to handle a large group. There was a fraternity there today with about 100 or so people, plus another group of about 35 firefighters, then some walk-ons as well, and everyone we being taken care of. It seems to be a very nice field and the people running it are trying to make sure people have a good time, not let newbies get owned by pros wanting to see how many welts they can dish out. It is field paint only there, and they are using DXS Triumph at $45/case. Gary said that depending on the number of people we get they would be able to discount field fees and probably some other fees, but we will have to see how many people we actually get. There are about 8 or 9 fields there with everything from plywood bunkers to buses and an airplane. They also have an airball field. I think this would be a very nice place to have a big group, plus they can get pizza out there or there are a bunch of places close by in town.
What I would like to know from you guys is if it would be possible to do. Would it be somthing you would make the 3 hour drive fom LA or SF (or wherever) to do? I know that SoCal had a great turnout just a few weeks ago. So, please respond to the poll if it is somthing you would be interested in doing, or if you don't think it is a good idea. Leave some input here if you have any suggestions about anything that could make this happen. Thanks in advance.

If this were to happen, I recommend to bring it closer south. Just my 2 cents. Go for a field that's in the middle for both groups.
