    AO South '10 Dates

    OK guys, it's time to get some dates set up for this game.


    Kruger says May is pretty much open. So, the "spring/summer" game will be some weekend in May. Let me know what works best for everyone. I think earlier in the month will be better due to temps.

    Weekends in May
    1-2
    8-9
    15-16
    22-23

    The weekend of the 30th is unavailable to me.

    The "fall/winter" game will be either late Oct, or first weekend in Nov. I don't want to get to close to the holidays.

    Oct 16-17
    23-24

    I do not want to plan for Halloween weekend again. It is my b-day, and I have friends coming down from Maine.

    Nov 6-7


    So players, lets talk it over and set down some dates for these games. Look forward to shooting at, I mean seeing you all again.


    EDIT- I forgot completely about TB (duh, thanks Beemer) I really don't want people to have to choose between the two. Would sometime in April be better? Kruger, you available that month?

      Weekends in May
      1-2 (college finals)
      8-9 (college finals)
      15-16
      22-23
      29-30 (memorial day weekend)

      My vote for may would be either the 15th or the 22nd. The 22nd would be best for me personally.


      The "fall/winter" game

      Oct 16-17
      23-24

      Nov 6-7

      I vote either 23rd or the 6th. the 16th is too early. Anyone know if this bumps heads with other already scheduled games? bear claw or any other local regional games.

          Nov. 13-14 is the last MPP game, and it is at Charleston, so that seems to be OK as far as MPP is concerned. Pretty much anytime in May is good for me.

              How about using the Grand Finale as the winter event? Its always a great game, and we could have an AO team. Just imagine the fear when they see 20 guys with mags headed towards them.

                  Well, mostly because the Grand Finale is someone else's game, and this is AO South at Kruger's place, which for three years running, and five or six (? I have to count my T shirts) games has been more fun than you can shake a stick at.

                          Who cares? As long as we get 2 games a year.

                          Although the 29/30 would be best so my wife can go.

                              10-11 April : Panzer Attack at Bailey's Battlefield... (Team Event)

                              15-16 May : I have to work at the Range

                              22 May : Wifes B-Day (I have to be there for that)

                              28-29-30 May : Living Legends 3 at CPX... (Team Event)


                              So unless it's the 23rd of May,,, It would be out for me and I would hate to miss this Great Event... Sorry Guys

                                  Please check the top post regarding possibly moving the first game to April? To avoid interfering with TB.

                                      It's nice to see some people care about other events even if they will not be attending.

                                      We got guys in Cali that double book on top of a charity event...

                                          I do not know if any of you AO South guys care but SinnerBall in Las Vegas will be in October.

                                          I don't think it will conflict with you guys though because usually it is mostly west coast peoples. Although Vegas is a great place to meet and last year the USPL was there so after the games we all went over to the USPL events, it was a paintball loaded weekend!

                                          Glad to see that you are forward thinking enough to plan around other established events. Unlike some people.

                                              I dont think anyone should have to choose between 2 great events....but there is 700+ miles (probally closer to 800mi) distance between the two events. To my knowledge Greg is the only one that attends TB.

                                                  The last 2 weekends of April/first two of May are busy at all colleges. I am not sure that would be a good time to schedule. The 4th is Easter IIRC so that is out IMO. That leaves the 10th open. I would rather may 15/22nd, but that is just me.

                                                          I for one will not be making the trek to TB4 seeing as it's a long long long drive. Plus main reason wife wouldn't go for a trip of that size for paintball....

                                                          Just let me know what weekend it is. there's nothing on our calendar that far out yet. The sooner i know the sooner i can verify campsite reservations at the Coosa River Lock and Dam Park
