We had one a few years ago. Pretty good turnout. Our last SoCal get together had a a fair amount of norcal'ers (hill, devilman, loguzzzzzz, skyless)Originally posted by WafflemanIs there mostly only socal AO ballers?
I remember back in 04/05 they had the norcal vs. socal AO day right in the middle, someone with more time and better organizational skills should put together one of those again.Comment

That was Z-Man who put the NorCal/SoCal event on back in 04/05. That was 100+ strong, and a really good event. Z-Man still puts on events, called Z-Days, that pull players from both NorCal and SoCal. That crowd from 04/05 is largely gone now, but of those who are still around go to Z-Days.Originally posted by WafflemanI remember back in 04/05 they had the norcal vs. socal AO day right in the middle, someone with more time and better organizational skills should put together one of those again.
During the fall/winter/spring Z-Days are normally in Modesto. Last summer the Z-Day was in your neck of the woods in SLO at Gladiator Paintball(http://www.pblegion.com/showthread.php?t=5085)
Z-Days have the same feel as the 04/05 events, good times. Just smaller, but most events are compared to those golden days.Comment

Waffleman, we still have great events in SoCal. The last one was a charity event that has been and annual thing for the last 3 years. We were able to raise a lot of money for Autism Speaks and have a great day of paintball all at the same time. I think there were about 60 people there, not too bad considering the economy these days.
Z-man does put on good events but has chosen to organize them elsewhere. He is no longer a very active member here. Those events are more of an AKA Day than an AO Day anymore.
If you want to see an over abundance of nice mags you really should attend the next AO Day in SoCal. SoCal AO is full of great guys that love to play and do so in true AO fashion "Agressive Fair Play". I love playing with these guys so much that I am will to drive apporximately 400 miles to meet up and play with them. then drive home the next day. Well worth my time and trouble.
I suggest you stay tuned here and look to attend the next AO SoCal day. I am hoping that it will happen soon.
Hope to see you at the next one!
......You know you want one!!Comment

A lot of the AO guys also tend to play with the MCB guys, and we just had a big weekend game day in Bakersfield. Be sure to check out that forum as well for big meet ups.Comment
