I'll probably go to watch. It'd definitely be the first real tourney I've gotten to see live. It'll hopefully get some of my friends interested in paintball too.

Question for you Mag guy (since I'm also from the Houston area), what shops in the area would you trust to repair/service an X-mag? I haven't played paintball in this area for long, and I really don't want to take my gun to a random shop when it's basically irreplaceable.

I'll probably go for the vendor area and to watch.

As far as your x-mag Snypre, You may call John at proedge. I don't know if he is very savvy with the AGD brand though.

Alternately, if you're looking for local help, there's elgalloblanco, myself, clearush, and Spider-TW.

any of us would be willing to look at it.

John knows some AGD, but I don't think he's an expert.

I'm gonna be heading to Zone South on Friday cause I have tanks needing hydro and they said they would be open due to PSP Galveston. The gun may not even need any work other than some TLC, but I haven't played in years so I'm expecting the worst with the Xmag, although I know it's fine electronics-wise. Any of you know if the guys at Zone familiar with Mags? They're closest to me and support UH, so I figure I could support them.

I don't know if they know about them or not.

IF they're like the folks at zone north, I'd say no, they have no clue.

Zone south probably won't be able to help you. As long as its not an electronic problem, I would be glad to help you (electrons and I don't get along so good )

Sounds like you are short on time, snypre. If you've been using full synthetic lube, you may be able to lube it up and go.

If it seems to work fine, the only thing to worry about is the level 10 o-ring. Shooting a few cases in a tournament would give it a chance to loosen up if it were very old or brand new.

If you have to change that o-ring, check the new o-ring ID for a mold line. If it has any at all, put it on a metal rod a little larger than the ID with some fine polishing compound (automotive will work) and slide it back and forth (about 20 times). Clean it up and check it. You just want to take that line off. That will keep it from "wearing in" and leaking on you after the first few cases.
