How about a giant AO California meet sometime in the future...say in June?

NorCal vs SoCal in terms of a large game, or almost an Xball Format...at a nice field in the middle...say Modesto?

It would be great to do a NORCAL AO vs SOCAL AO at a field with a large woods field (large game format) and an Airball field (like an All-star 10-man game).

For a standard Bay Area AO meet, a Sunday would be fine, although Sundays are typically tourney player day. Not sure it means anything to us, but just something I'll throw out there.

What are you guys thinking for a timeframe? Late MAR, earlier APR?

I am off every Saturday, but work every Sunday. I can get a Sunday off, but its easier for me to play on Saturdays.

Um, a Saturday would probably be best as I usually have team practices on Sundays.

Ahh, I work Saturdays but have Sundays off. However, with a week or two of notice I can get the day off, so no biggie.

Does anyone have any objections to playing the fairgrounds?

Nope. I might even show up, even though I'm not a big fan of "speedball".

We'll need a headcount plus would you gents like to eat some good food -i.e. barbeque up some tri-tip and make some sandwiches...cuz if we do this, we need to make sure that the rest of the country understands why Nor Cal is the place to be. I think I know someone who'd even perform massages onsite! I can also get cheap paint if you guys want to let me know for sure if you are going to make it or not.

Mr Salazar, I'll be in need of your services for this as well.

We need a date. Looks like you are elected. BTW, might want to be sure it doesn't conflict with any other major events.

OK, which one are we talking about, the regular bay area AO day, or the big north/south thing?

The bay area thing needs less planning, basically a date we can all make. The BIG one will require much more.

If Phil takes point, I'll get his back on this end. We'll need a SoCal person to head up their end of it.

Hey, I live in berkeley and would try my best to make an AO day. I havent had a chance to make it to the fairgrounds yet but i have been wanting to. Right now i am pretty busy with my team preparing for the pan am 7man at the end of march so i dont know if i could make it or not before the pan am.
