Never heard of showdown.
Wheres it at ? They got a website ? Any info ?
If my back gets better going to play somewhere saturday feb.4.
Was thinking of trying Gator, never been there.

might be in for gator the 4th. not sure yet.

showdown was a field in west pasco until about 2 years ago iirc. closed down due to zoning issues. the same ownership is opening a new field in roughly the same area.

showdown was great fun to play at with very diverse players and very nice owners. can't wait for it to open up.

my aviaton met professor constantly harrasses them in class. (the forensic psych majors, not her personally.. unless she has professor utley @ 8 am on tuesdays thursdays)

Lee, just to give you an update. I went up to whats going to be the new Showdown feild this past weekend. All I can say is Mike is doing right. But why would we think otherwise. He plans on opening at the end of Febuary. It should open with four nice sized netted fields, which are two airball, tin pan alley, and one other (not sure what yet). Also a very nice size woods field. The entire parking(huge)area will be mulched, new wood benches and tables, and a covered area 30 feet by 80 feet. Chris, James and myself will be there opening day to ref. Would love to see you get there. Anyone else who would be able to play the weekend of 2/25/06 please come out and play.

The field is located just north of Hgwy 52 and the Suncoast Pkwy. I will get a map posted soon.

This going to be a great field run by great people.

P.S. Theres going to be real toilets on site, not porta johns
