Duelist, I would love to sign the petition or even attend but I will be home for summer break! If you can get me a petition to sign or somewhere to do it online that would be great!!

On another not, NCPA nationals are just around the corner. I also believe Real Rock 101.1 is giving some really good deals on saturdday or sunday. I think somethingk like 10.11 for equipment and 200 rounds. I know this is nothing for you ballas, but maybe if you wanna take some family out or something, it will help out.

HKONi: don't have a date. i read it on pbreview. southeast section i think, not sure.
i too dislike over crowded fields. 7 on 7 isn't too bad for a 5 man field, but more than that translates to little skill.
cocker shrouds...how early 90's is that?

TheDuelist: i'm working the ncpa both days as far as i know. definately saturday since there are like 40 college teams. the open and rookie classes are on sunday and not nearly as many teams signed up for that.
i talked to susan about the meetings. i can't make the first one since it's early afternoon on a workday, but will be at the second one for sure. maybe we can get susan to post a printable petition on the site?

felony: you da man and thanks! susan and mike, the owners of showdown are GREAT people and run an excellent operation. they don't deserve what they are getting right now.
the story is that here in pasco county...the center of the known universe which has the same zip code as b.f.egypt......the county considers a paintball field to be a "gun range" and a zoning variance is required. so, if they had stayed open, they would be laible for fines every time an inspector came out and saw play going on until they are granted a variance. having bungholes for neighbors doesn't help any either.
they have closed in order to avoid fines and to help put forth a positive image to the county zoning commision. wise choices on both counts imho.

HKONi: games start at 08:00 am.

chris: national will be selling paint to the tourney teams from what i understand, but other than that, i have no idea who/what will be there. i'm sure the open will have some vendors though.

Yeah I figured as much. It would be sweet if some companies show but I look forward to catching some good ball this weekend.

just got back from nationals preregistration or whatever it is called.

fields were set up. 6 total right now, 3 are exact copies of each other.(1 evil, 2 psps) and 1 empire and 1 of something else (poorly setup)

Everything looks awesome right now. Great looking fields, great netting. great everything, props to wwos and ncpa and everyone that donated fields!

Did you see if they were going to have vendors there? How many teams registered.

i am not positive on the # of vendors if any. I thought there were gonna be some, but probably nothing major.

I think there are something like 50 teams!

yeah, looks good there. raehl is a hard working man. he was all over the place doing stuff. props to him for the whole thing. i couldn't do it.

i left at like 5:30 so there must have been people staying a lot later than that to set things up.
as i understand it, the set up for the ncpa will also be the set up for the open.

the nppl class was excellent. very informative, entertaining and challenging. the guys that taught it really know thier stuff. i reccomend it to anyone thats into reffing. too bad it's not more readily available.
