kind of hard to explain it, snooker may do a better job than i do since thats his forte much more so than mine.
basically, you have two or more teams or sides. each team has a general and is given different missions to accomplish from time to time.
missions are given to the general, so, if your general is out or just not around, you don't get missions. if you don't get missions, you don't get the opportunity to score points.
a typical mission would be "send a squad to point A and hold it for 10 minutes". the other team may get a mission that is exactly the same as that one and at the same time in order to induce a fire fight. there are also props that must be recovered, people to be found, spies, medics, demolition experts, tanks, rpg's law rockets and the like.
if you get hit, you can stay where you're at and call for a medic. a medic gets to you, "heals" you and you go on playing. except for head shots i believe.
waynes world is famous because he started scenario games, at least the most publicized and biggest ones. i went to the last big thing last december and am going again this year as well. some friends of mine from the old days make it our annual renuion. and actually, we are doing it this july on the 16, 17th and 18th. camping out and playing on 2 free game days. they are two seperate one day scnearios based on the same theme so that if you play both days, it'll be like a continuation from day one.
admission is free but paint will be pricy. it runs about 75$ for rec quality paint there. but factor in that you're not paying the 50$ entrance fee, it's a decnet deal. he has compressed air and co2. games will be 8 hours each day, 10 am to 6 pm. should be vendors and prizes and etc.

you have to pregegister for 10$, but that 10$ is credited towards your first case of paint.
if you go, register under "team big" so you can run with us. captain will be either jim mozingo or lee tucker. we don't have a formal set up, we just play and try to get into as much trouble as possible
